Clinical Efficacy Of The Method Of Resolving Dampness And Eliminating Stasis In The Treatment Of Osteoarthritis Of The Knee (Dampness And Stasis Blockage Type)

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of the method of removing dampness and dispelling stasis in the therapy of knee osteoarthritis(Knee osteoarthritis,KOA)with dampness and stasis obstruction,to objectively explore the effectiveness and safety of the method of removing dampness and dispelling stasis in the treatment of KOA with dampness and stasis obstruction,and to provide a new way of thinking for the therapy of KOA in clinical practice.Methods:A total of 82 participants who satisfied the criteria for inclusion were selected from subjects who visited the Department of Joint and Orthopaedic Surgery(Department of Orthopaedic Injuries one)of Jiangxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2021 to December 2022,and were divided into a therapy group and a comparison group with 41 cases in each group by selecting the random number table method.The therapeutic group was treated internally with the tutor’s empirical prescription for removing dampness and stasis based on the method of removing dampness and stasis(1 sachet twice daily),while the comparison group was treated orally with Celecoxib capsules(1 capsule twice daily).Firstly,the data of all subjects’ baseline data were counted,2 groups were treated for 4 consecutive weeks,the scores of WOMAC,Lysholm and VAS scales were needed to be registered prior to and after the therapy for 2 groups,and their effectiveness indices were calculated by WOMAC scales at the end of the therapy,and at three months after the end of the therapy,those who were finally included in the study were followed up for cure,apparent efficacy and effectiveness,and the relapse rate was registered,and All of these data were collected using SPSS 26.0software and analysed statistically to objectively assess the clinical efficacy of the research,as well as to record adverse effects throughout the therapy to appraise the safety of the clinical trial.Results:1.the 2 groups were grouped relatively equally,with a resulting total of 36 participants in the therapy group and another total of 35 subjects in the comparison group enrolled in the statistics.2,statistical analysis of baseline data and pre-treatment VAS,WOMAC and Lysholm scores in the 2 groups showed no statistical discrepancies between the 2 data(p > 0.05).3、After finishing the therapeutic,the 2 groups’ VAS scores and WOMAC scoring were both lower than the pre-treatment scoring,and there was a discrepancies between the 2 data statistics(P<0.05),and both the therapeutic group’s VAS scoring and WOMAC scoring were less than the comparison group,and there was a discrepancies between the 2 data statistics(P<0.05).4.After the finish of therapeutic,2 groups had higher Lysholm scoring than the pre-treatment,and there was a discrepancies between the2 data statistics(P < 0.05),while the treated group had higher Lysholm scoring than the comparison group,and there was a discrepancies between the 2 data statistical data(P < 0.05).5.At the completion of therapeutic,comparing the aggregate efficacy rate of the 2 groups,the efficacy rate was 94.44% in the therapeutic group and the efficacy rate was 74.29% in the comparison group,and the aggregate efficacy rate of the therapeutic group was superior to that of the comparative group(P < 0.05).Three months after the completion of treatment for subsequent visits,when comparing the relapse rate of the2 groups,the relapse rate was 8.33% in the therapeutic group and 28.57%in the comparative group,and the relapse rate of the therapeutic group was inferior to that of the comparative group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.both the tutor’s experience prescription for removing dampness and stasis guided by the method of removing dampness and stasis,and celecoxib capsules can help the patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint(dampness and stasis blocking type)to recover their clinical symptoms.2.Mentor’s prescription for removing dampness and eliminating stasis guided by the method of removing dampness and eliminating stasis was more effective than Celecoxib capsule in the therapy of osteoarthritis of the knee(dampness and stasis blocking type),and Mentor’s prescription for removing dampness and eliminating stasis guided by the method of removing dampness and eliminating stasis was more effective in relieving the patients’ knee pain and dysfunction,and had a lowest relapse rate.3.No negative effects or poisonous counter-effects were observed in the participants during the therapy with the tutor’s empirical prescription of Removing Dampness and Dispelling Blood Stasis,which is of high safety and can be extensively applied to clinical therapy.
