| Adolescence is a period when individuals develop from childhood to adulthood.During this period, individuals develop rapidly in their body and mind but unbalanced, showing the characteristics of senstivitive emotion and poor self-control.In pursuit of stimulation, adolescents often participate in some negative risk-taking behaviors that are not accepted by social norms, such as smoking, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, unsafely sexual behavior, etc. The factors that affect adolescents’ risk-taking behavior include both individual factors and environmental factors. In this study,we selected three variables,self-esteem 、 profit or loss situation and the degree of profit and loss,to study their interactive effects on adolescents’ negative risk-taking behavior in order to offer some educational guidance about adolescent’s risk-taking behaviors. In this stduy,we used self-esteem scale and the Stoplight Game task as experimental tools. There were 126 junior school students participated in this study, and they all came from the third grade of a junior high school in Jinan,Shandong Province. We used a three-factor mixed experimental design of 2(self-esteem level: low,high)×2(profit and loss situation: loss,profit)×3(the degree of profit and loss: low, medium, high)to investigate the interactive influence of three factors on dangerous driving behavior of adolescents. The conclusion of this study were as follows:(1)For individuals of low self-esteem,the risk-taking behaviors of individuals at the moderate or high loss level were both more than those at the low loss level;(2)For individuals with low self-esteem,risk-taking behaviors in the context of moderate losses were more than those in the context of moderate gains.(3)In the context of moderate loss, the risk-taking behavior of high self-esteeem inviduals was less than that of low self-esteem individuals. |
