| The biography of Tao Te Ching is an important document of LV Huiqing’s research on the Taoist thought of Lao Tzu.In terms of the characteristics of its text annotation,it not only presents the interpretation characteristics of Lao Tzu’s interpretation of Lao Tzu and Zhuang Zi’s interpretation of Lao Tzu,but also reflects the rich characteristics of Huang Lao thought and forms a unique theoretical system.Starting with the text of the biography of the moral Scripture, this paper deeply interprets the content and characteristics of LV Huiqing’s thought of Lao Tzu through the research and discussion of several different aspects, such as the theory of Tao,the theory of human nature, the theory of cultivation and the theory of governing the country.LV Huiqing annotated Lao Tzu,taking "Tao" as the foundation and direction. He inherited and carried forward the characteristics of Huang Lao school’s Tao theory. He not only explained "Tao" with "Qi",but also understood the unformed and nameless ultimate reality as material Qi,which is the origin of everything in heaven. At the same time,it also highlights the regular characteristics of "Tao" and annotates "Tao" with "reason" and "Chang".On the issue of human nature,"Tao" is embodied in people through "Virtue".LV Huiqing talked about people based on virtue, put the two issues of the origin and destination of human nature into circular argument, and thus developed two fundamental methods to return to the origin: "not affected by foreign things" and "removing inner selfish desires and prejudices".In fact, the cultivation method of returning to the origin is the same as people’s health preservation and life.If you want to pursue a long life, you can’t stay away from the "Tao".The characteristic of LV Huiqing’s cultivation theory is that on the basis of Huang Lao’s cultivation of both form and spirit,he attaches great importance to cultivating the heart, and thus constructs a set of cultivation theory that connects form, heart and spirit.Huang Lao’s thought is best reflected in the theory of governing the country. The "Tao" of inaction follows the nature of all things.LV Huiqing takes this as the theoretical basis for governing the country, takes "following nature" as the basis, takes "ruling the country with integrity" as the principle, and takes "the king does nothing while the minister does something" as the method. In specific practice, the rulers should be peopleoriented, attach importance to the people, guide the people to return to their nature, and implement the issue of human nature into political issues. In a word,LV Huiqing’s biography of the moral Scripture not only has rich characteristics of Huang Lao’s learning, but also breaks the barriers between Lao Zhuang’s learning and Huang Lao’s learning within Taoism, and integrates the ideological essence of Confucianism and Buddhism externally. It is a truly unique work with the integration of three religions. |
