The importance of hometown to Xu Zechen’s creation is self-evident.Based on Xu Zechen’s continuous hometown writing,this paper focuses on the study of Xu Zechen’s works before 2012 and his representative works,in order to comment on Xu Zechen’s hometown writing and reveal the special significance of hometown writing in Xu Zechen’s overall creative career.The first chapter studies the composition of Xu Zechen’s hometown experience.Xu Zechen’s hometown experience mainly consists of two parts,one is his growth experience,and the other is the influence of regional culture on it.The influence of his growth experience is manifested in the natural enlightenment and literary enlightenment that Xu Zechen received in his childhood,which is mainly sorted out through Xu Zechen’s documentary prose and the author’s investigation.The influence of regional culture on Xu Zechen is manifested in two aspects.From the perspective of geographical environment,the climatic characteristics of Donghai County’s winter wind and summer rain are relatively distinct and retained in his novels,which has become one of the characteristics of his hometown novels.From the perspective of local culture,the fusion of multiple cultures has formed the local people’s “inclusiveness”,which makes Xu Zechen’s novels are neither “poetic” nor “savage”,but unique.The second chapter discusses Xu Zechen’s novel creation from the writing of his hometown experience,mainly from the four perspectives of the objects in his hometown writing,“old-school street people”,mystical narrative and narrative language rhythm.From the perspective of physical images,Xu Zechen,through the description of paper horses,crystals and other physical images in his hometown,not only shows the local customs and emotions of his hometown,but also constantly enriches the connotation of the local imagery.Object images sometimes act as knots,becoming the focus of his exploration of the complex relationship between his hometown and the outside world.And the shaping of “old-school street people”embodies Xu Zechen’s complex feelings towards his hometown.The two types of “oldschool street people” with different styles symbolize the two aspects of Xu Zechen’s treatment of his hometown.By writing about the “old-school street people”,Xu Zechen thought about the pros and cons and significance of the traditional rural way of life in the context of modernization.The local customs in his hometown influenced the mystical narrative in Xu Zechen’s writings in his hometown,and the custom of“worshiping ghosts” in his hometown helped Xu Zechen’s novels get rid of the dilemma of “reality with reality”.Xu Zechen’s hometown writing presents two styles,namely“poetic lyricism” and “realistic criticism”.Through the use of long and short sentences and the grasp of narrative rhythm,Xu Zechen made his hometown writing “poetic” and“barbarous” in one,making it closer to his hometown experience.The third chapter mainly discusses the meaning of Xu Zechen’s hometown writing.The first section mainly discusses the transfer and significance of Xu Zechen’s “literary base”.Personal historical interest,lack of history and culture in his hometown,growth experience,and the rise and fall of Huai’an drove Xu Zechen to transfer his literary hometown from “Hailing” to “Flower Street”,where he told stories about his hometown.This transfer of the “literary base” is both on the same track as the times and very individual.The second section mainly discusses the significance of Xu Zechen’s hometown writing in Jiangsu literature.The northern Jiangsu characteristics in Xu Zechen’s hometown writing have special significance in Jiangsu literature represented by the “Jiangnan” culture for a long time.The “canonize” of Xu Zechen’s works has corrected the phenomenon that “Jiangnan literature” covers Jiangsu literature to a certain extent.The third section examines Xu Zechen’s hometown writing from the perspective of the “post-epidemic era”.Examining Xu Zechen’s writing in his hometown from the perspective of the “post-epidemic era” shows a clear context,that is,Xu Zechen’s re-recognition of his hometown,and his rediscovery and excavation of his hometown’s culture and traditional classics.From “going to the world” to “returning to the hometown” and then to “the world is the hometown”,Xu Zechen’s change in his attitude towards his hometown and modernization is closely related to his gradually broadened global perspective.The conclusion part is mainly to sort out and summarize the content of the thesis,mainly summarize the composition of Xu Zechen’s hometown experience,the performance and characteristics of hometown writing,and at the same time reflect and comment on the contemporary literary historical significance of Xu Zechen’s hometown writing,and finally,Xu Zechen’s creation Outlook with research.Through the above analysis and research,this paper aims to explore the unique meaning and value of hometown writing in Xu Zechen’s novels. |
