The Creation Of Suzhou Embroidery Themed Picture Book

Nowadays,many wonderful original picture books with traditional Chinese culture as elements have been produced in China.The traditional culture of all parts of the country is not only rich and colorful,but also has profound cultural connotation.The integration of traditional culture and art with picture books and mutual supplement can make them better develop.Suzhou embroidery is an important folk art work representing Chinese traditional art and culture.It also belongs to a class of embroidery,and plays an important role in the history of Chinese embroidery culture with its unique artistic style.Represented by Suzhou area,Wu regional culture is now known as Wu culture.In the ancient city of Suzhou,the rich history and culture of Wu created by the vast masses of people irrigate the profound tradition of Suzhou embroidery technique and art culture.The purpose of this topic is to plant a seed of traditional culture in the hearts of public readers,especially children readers,and to combine Suzhou embroidery culture with picture books,so as to spread Suzhou embroidery culture.This graduation creation selects the creation form of children’s picture book,and mainly completes the creation of picture book with the theme of Suzhou embroidery in traditional handicraft.This creation mainly selects watercolor,color lead,collage and other forms of expression,so that the picture style and expression of the picture book more in line with children’s aesthetic and favorite.This paper is divided into two main parts: the exhibition of picture book works and the report of picture book creation.In the part of creation report,the author mainly conducts research on creation demand,theoretical research and creation process of picture books.In terms of creation needs,the author mainly conducts field investigation and research on the development of Suzhou embroidery at present,and also conducts market research and questionnaire survey on popular science picture books of Suzhou embroidery,which can provide guidance for the creation of the following picture books.In terms of theoretical research,the author studied the popular science picture books and the Suzhou embroidery culture,and generally understood the creative expression forms of popular science picture books and the themes and characteristics of Suzhou embroidery,and absorbed the material elements,which had creative significance in the later creation process.In the report part of the creation process,the script,style,image and other aspects of the picture book are laid a foundation according to the previous research and theoretical research.In the creation process,the final draft is finalized after various attempts in professional practice.
