The singing passage of "If you don’t promise, you have to agree" is selected from the national opera "Canal Ballads",which takes the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal as the background of the story, and shows the good and evil life and death witnessed by the canal by describing the fate of the characters in the play on the canal, showing the good and evil life and death, righteousness and thin clouds witnessed by the canal, and praising the innocent love and the great love of human nature. The play draws nourishment from the essence of Chinese culture such as opera, folk songs, and folk customs, and presents the unique artistic charm of national opera.According to the principles of traditional opera aesthetics in China, the creation skillfully integrates Western music with traditional Chinese drama,so that it has both the style of Western classical music and the heritage of traditional Chinese music.
