In recent years,along with the continuous innovation of online information technology,the demand for learning from overseas Chinese and Chinese language learners has been on the rise.Online Chinese language teaching has also experienced a rapid boom.The requirements and demands of online Chinese language teaching institutions for teachers are also increasing and expanding,and with this,problems in the process of teaching Chinese online are also emerging.Online international Chinese teaching resources are abundant and the time and place of instruction is flexible.However,due to the online format,the interaction between teachers and students is generally problematic.This paper observes the verbal communicative behavior,non-verbal communicative behavior,and communicative behavior using teaching tools in real classrooms of three pairs of teachers and students in Wukong Chinese online international Chinese teaching institutions,and uses the Flanders Interaction Analysis System to analyze the data compiled from the observations.It was concluded that there were problems in the following areas of teacher-student communicative interaction in the online international Chinese course.These were teacher feedback,teacher morale,learner variability and the specificity of student-teacher communication in the online mode.The study then proposes initiatives to promote the effectiveness of student-teacher communication in online international Chinese classrooms from three perspectives: online international Chinese language teaching institutions,online international Chinese language teachers and online international Chinese language learners.Based on the findings of this analysis,online international Chinese language teaching institutions should be mindful of the specificities of online communication between teachers and students in international Chinese language classrooms when designing their class.Institutions should pay attention to the intercultural online communication skills of teachers and provide relevant training courses.Institutions should pay attention to the rationality and humanism of their teacher-student classroom standards and monitoring systems.Online international Chinese language teachers should be more reflective in their teaching.Teachers should pay attention to the characteristics of each international Chinese learner.Teachers must actively learn the functions and operations of the online teaching platform and become proficient in its operation.Learners of online international Chinese courses should be conscious of the need to maintain a relatively stable and positive learning environment.For younger learners and learners with a low learning base,parents can also provide appropriate translation assistance during the learning process in order to better assist such learners and teachers in completing communicative activities in the classroom and fulfilling their teaching objectives.
