A Comparative Study On The Structural Thinking Of Prokofiev’s Symphonies No.4 And No.6

Sergei Prokofiev,Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev(1891-1953),formerly a famous Soviet composer and pianist,was a representative composer from the late 19 th century to the first half of the 20 th century.Among his works,"classical" and "innovative" are the two main aspects of his creative style.In the inheritance of classicism,Prokofiev is also constantly making more indepth exploration and innovation of composition techniques such as harmony,polyphony and structure.Through the in-depth analysis of these two symphonies,we can see the embodiment of the composer’s unique harmonic language and structural logic.In this paper,his fourth Symphony and the Sixth Symphony are selected for the comparative analysis of the comprehensive composition techniques,Four chapters: The first chapter introduces the composer’s life and writing background;Chapters two and three are a thorough analysis of the two symphonies from different angles,It tries to explore and summarize the composer’s structural thinking,pitch relations,counterpositional techniques and counterpositional skills;Chapter 4 is a comparative study of the two symphonies,Classify and summarize their own creative characteristics from multiple perspectives;The fifth chapter analyzes and summarizes the unique writing techniques of these two symphonies,It includes the Prokofiev chord,the logical thinking embodiment of the structure,the use of shear melody and other personalized creation techniques.Through the in-depth analysis and comparative study of the two symphony works,the author tries to analyze the composer music structure thinking logic,Prokofiev in two different period composition techniques style differences,and reflected in the two symphony composition technical characteristics,in order to the relative science of prokofiev symphony creation structure thinking,composition techniques characteristics of a relatively comprehensive summary.
