Historical And Cultural Expression In Modern Book Design Practical Research

History and culture is one of the popular themes of modern books,and its book design has its particularity different from that of other books.On the basis of the previous design thinking of "cover + layout + craft",the main purpose of this paper is to use all elements of book design to make comprehensive artistic expression of historical and cultural elements,so that historical and cultural books can not only reflect the unique features of the text content,but also have visual appeal and sense of quality,so as to fully carry forward and spread excellent Chinese culture.This thesis uses literature research,case analysis and other research methods to explore the expression ways of historical and cultural elements in modern book design,discusses the expression forms of books and historical and cultural elements from the theoretical level,studies and collates the current situation of historical and cultural books and the types of artistic expression.At the same time,it collects and analyzes the cases of books at home and abroad that reasonably express historical and cultural elements.It further proves the function and significance of artistic expression of historical and cultural elements in book design.On this basis,it establishes the artistic expression method of comprehensive use of all elements of book design to present historical and cultural elements,and provides a more reasonable and scientific practice method reference for the design of historical and cultural books.As the representative of Chinese culture,Beijing Central Axis has gone through the changes of times and left a rich and valuable cultural heritage,which has both the solemn and solemn royal culture and the street atmosphere of folk culture.Architecture as a material carrier and folk custom as a cultural inheritance are typical historical and cultural elements of Beijing central Axis.The graduation project focuses on the Beijing central axis architecture and folk custom content,takes the expression way of historical and cultural elements in modern book design as the theme for design practice,further discusses the new possibilities of the expression way of historical and cultural elements,expounds the design conception,design technique and visual expression effect of practical works,and strives to deeply explore the cultural connotation and value.Carry forward the charm of China’s fine history and culture.
