"Li Ji Fan Wang" is one of the well preserved murals in Cave 23 of the Kumu Tula Grottoes in Kuqa,Xinjiang.The mural depicts the story of Sakyamuni’s nirvana,when the Buddhas wept and mourned,but only Wushu Semo(the King of Li Ji Fan)sang and danced in peace and transcended the world.The mural on this theme is the only one in the entire Kumtula Grottoes group,and its painting style is also quite representative.This makes the copying and research of "Li Ji Fan Wang" of great practical significance.In the process of observing and studying the "Li Ji Fan Wang",the unique aesthetic sense formed by the incomplete status of murals is fascinating and also makes people reflect.How to use "incomplete" to create a scene,how to leave blank space in the picture to give people imagination space,and how to use the characteristics of material materials combined with the brush and ink techniques of Chinese painting to naturally create "incomplete" scenes in the picture are the focus of this article’s research and the problem to be solved in this article.Therefore,this article is based on painting practice,with mural copying as the starting point,and summarizes the understanding of "incomplete beauty" in murals from the perspective of traditional Chinese painting creation;And systematically expounds the application of these insights in individual creative works at different stages.The article is divided into three chapters:The first chapter describes the general situation of "Li Ji Fan Wang" in Kumu Tula Cave 23,and briefly defines its incomplete aesthetic sense;The second chapter describes the process and steps of copying the "Li Ji Fan Wang" into the cave,and summarizes the understanding of the incomplete aesthetic feeling of the murals combined with painting techniques;The third chapter,combined with the understanding of copying,elaborates the application of incomplete beauty in personal creation from the aspects of composition,color setting,techniques,and creating "realm". |
