With the increase of the aging population, the physical and mental health of the elderly has received extensive attention from the society and researchers.Amnestic mild cognitive impairment is a preclinical stage of Alzheimer’s disease.Early identification and intervention are of great significance to improve the quality of life of the elderly and reduce social burden.Compared with the normal elderly group, the experience of negative emotions in the amnestic mild cognitive impairment group will be more obvious, such as anxiety and depression.Long-term experience of negative emotions such as anxiety and depression will also make it difficult for people with amnestic mild cognitive impairment to get rid of the negative effects of stressful events, further aggravating the deterioration of their cognitive functions.Memory field impaired is the core feature of amnestic mild cognitive impairment, and anxiety is the most common emotional symptom of it.Few studies have paid attention to the effect of anxiety on the working memory of people with amnestic mild cognitive impairment, meanwhile they focused mainly on its predictive effect.Studies have shown that state anxiety has a protective consequence on working memory in normal elderly groups. In other clinical groups, such as Parkinson’s patients and stroke patients, state anxiety is detrimental to their memory domains. Therefore, the effects of state anxiety on the memory domains of different populations are not consistent. Thus, based on the past theoretical researches, this paper deeply investigates the impact of state anxiety on working memory in the amnestic mild cognitive impairment group, and conducts a 10-day,200-minute intervention for the collective through working memory refresh training, hoping to explore its plasticity of cognitive function and providing suppositional basis as well as feasible scheme.Firstly, according to Petersen’s mild cognitive impairment criterion, the pre-experiment used by Subject Memory Complain,Geriatric Depression Scale,Montreal Cognitive Assessment,Activities of Daily Living Scale,Clinical Dementia Rating and Auditory Verbal Learning Task to screen the elderly subjects and examine the overall cognitive function and memory decline of the group. The results indicated that the overall function of mild cognitive impairment group was distinctive from that of the normal elderly group, and the scores of visuospatial and executive function, naming, language, fluency, abstraction, delayed recall, and orientation were all lower than those of the normal elderly counterparts. The working memory score of the mild cognitive impairment collective was different from that of the normal elderly group, and the group had worse working memory performance.Experiment 1 investigated the effect of state anxiety on working memory in the mild cognitive impairment group.Experiment adopted a 2(state anxiety:with,without)×2(group:aMCI group, normal group)between-subject experimental design, and the correct rate of working memory is the dependent variable index. The results showed that state anxiety has an impairing effect on the working memory of the elderly with the impairment.Based on the research outcome of Experiment 1,Experiment 2 aims to investigate the improvement of adaptive working memory updating training for 10 days and 200 minutes on the working memory of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment. The experiment adopts a two-factor mixed experimental design of 2(working memory refresh task:with, without)× 2(time:pre-test,post-test)mixed-subject experimental design, and the correct rate of working memory is the dependent variable index. The results signifies that under the condition of state anxiety, after training, the intervention group had a significant improvement in working memory performance compared with the control group;while under the condition of no state anxiety, the intervention group had no significant development in working memory performance after training. To sum up,the overall cognitive function of the amnestic mild cognitive impairment group is worse than that of the normal elderly group, state anxiety has an adverse impact on the working memory of the impairment group, and adaptive working memory refresh training can provide improvements to the collective. This study further revealed the relationship between anxiety and working memory in amnestic mild cognitive impairment groups and the application value of adaptive working memory refresh training in special elderly groups.
