Portraiture is the oldest category of oil painting.The painter Francis Bacon once said,"As human beings,we are most obsessed with ourselves." Portraiture encapsulates the mental state and life course of people of all ages and identities,as well as the comprehensive quality of artists and their way of observing human beings.How a good portrait can go beyond the record of all the details of the object itself and reveal the truth on the other side is the point of the author’s research interest.Due to the influence of traditional Chinese aesthetics,the author always applies the "form" and "god" in Chinese traditional aesthetics in the research of exploring the spiritual connotation of portrait figures.The relationship between the body and spirit in oil painting portraits is based on the mastery of painting techniques and the cognition of the spiritual level of the figure.How to grasp the characteristics of "God" to convey the meaning of individual life itself is a very valuable way to try.Therefore,the author focuses on the study of the authenticity of the figure image,the expression of the inner spirit of the figure and the insight of the creator.It is also a pursuit of people’s spiritual world and material life,but also a search for the meaning of human society and life.The author created a group of oil portraits on the theme of "female writers".They are the portraits of Zhang ai ling,San mao,Yan Ge ling and Jiang Fang zhou respectively.The purpose of the creation is to dig and refine the images of female writers at a deeper level,so as to try to express some different aspects of the soul.Through rational observation and creation practice,the use of oil painting language to describe the image temperament of people,capture the spiritual beauty of the character,create a poetic character image,with artistic works to express the emotion of art.This paper studies the expression of spiritual connotation in portrait creation of oil painting.which is divided into five parts.The first part is the background and significance of the research the analysis of domestic and foreign status,and the research method.The second part is the evolution of western portrait oil painting and the development of Chinese modern and contemporary portrait oil painting.The third part is the focus of the article,from the portrait “gaze”,portrait oil painting language features,portrait oil painting spirit connotation of three aspects,to explore how to express portrait oil painting this topic.The fourth part is the "female writer" series creation from the source of inspiration,shape presentation,subjective color.emotional expression of four aspects,the practice of this topic of research.The fifth part is the author from the theme consciousness of the expression,subjective creation of two aspects of portrait oil painting creation for further reflection. |
