Since the reform of Shanghai college entrance examination in 2017,which offers students the opportunity to take the English exam twice a year, and includes the score of the listening and speaking test for the first time in the college entrance examination scores, there is no doubt that the proficiency of listening and speaking has become one of the evaluating elements of college talents, which indirectly promotes the importance of high school English teaching of listening and speaking. However, there are few studies on high school English listening and speaking teaching in the context of the new college entrance examination.Although it is clear that listening and speaking have been included in the scope of the college entrance examination,front-line teachers are usually busy with the preparation and written test training, focusing more on the cultivation and research on students’ reading and writing skills. As a result,in order to understand the real situation of senior high school English listening and speaking teaching, this paper summarizes existing problems and difficulties through questionnaire survey, student interview, teacher interview and other forms, and tries to put forward feasible solutions. The survey suggests that teachers and students have certain understanding of the listening and speaking test in the college entrance examination, but the overall teaching is limited by class periods, lacking immobilized teaching system.Besides, students are trained through mechanical practice with the teaching content and assignments of which the "listening" section accounts for a larger proportion. In the face of students whose proficiency of English listening and speaking is of great difference, identical homework assignments and simple grade evaluation can’t effectively solve the problems such as error correction. To solve the existing problems mentioned above, this paper tries to put forward a mixed model of layered teaching listening and speaking based on three theories—taskbased language teaching, computer assisted instruction and “i+1” theory.Under the background of informatization, based on the core literacy and the basic requirements of teaching the knowledge of phonetics, teachers can apply individualized quality education to students of different levels, design fixed listening and speaking course based on the theories of Krashen since grade one, senior one, ensuring the level of difficulty is appropriate for individual students of different levels,to meet the needs for personalized development and the formation of individual long-term evaluation.Special training is aimed at the third year, with improved hardware equipment to get accurate and effective evaluation for further improvement.Online combination of network applications can increase the diversity of assignments.Combining unit theme with task-based teaching and carrying out diverse English listening and speaking activities offline can also be of some help.To verify whether the combined teaching method is effective,a teaching experiment on listening and speaking was conducted in grade 1,senior 1 of a high school in Shanghai. With SPSS making an analysis of the statistics, the teaching mode of applying layered teaching offline and layered assignments online turns out to be feasible and effective, which enables the students to improve their performance in listening and speaking.
