With the economy of China developing both in scope and in depth,a mounting number of executives and employees eager to gain expertise on business management and deep insights into global business.The high quality English business review shared by numerous knowledge-based We Chat public accounts thus becomes a convenience for Chinese readers to obtain inspiration from global commercial activities.Nevertheless,business reviews with amounts of expertise pose difficulties for Chinese readers in mobile Internet era whose reading conduct features the fragmentation of time,the movement of actions,and the transience of interests.Therefore,high-quality E-C translation of business reviews for We Chat public accounts is of great significance to satisfy readers’ demands.The author,influenced by “Function plus Loyalty”theory of Christiane Nord,completed this report based on the E-C translation practice of business reviews for We Chat official accounts.The most troublesome problem the author faces lies in how to deal with the contradiction between the characteristics of business reviews and the features of potential readers’ reading conducts.The “Function plus Loyalty”theory motivates the author to prioritize the function of target texts in the target situation and the purpose of the translation so as to realize the efficient dissemination of the target texts in We Chat public accounts.That proposes an effective solution for the author to carry out the practice.The author employs concise and novel expressions in the title to attract readers;rebuilds the source text in Chinese accurately,completely and smoothly to realize the information value of the text;employs expressions with dynamic images and rhetorical techniques of duality and parallelism by applying four-character structures to realize the emotional value of the text.In the translation practice,the author manages to achieve the expected text function and readers’ satisfaction by adopting instrumental translation and following the loyalty principle.The report reveals that“Function plus Loyalty”theory can provide powerful guidance for the translations of business reviews for We Chat official accounts and achieve the expected functions of the target texts.The consideration to balance the interpersonal relationship among all parties can also make the target texts better satisfy all the communicative needs in the translation.The translation practice and the composition of this practice report have enabled the author to have a deeper understanding of translating business reviews and “Function plus Loyalty”theory.Wish the accumulated experience and exposed shortcomings in the translation practice can provide a reference for the relevant translation tasks.
