Study Of Creations Of Opera "Canal Ballad"

“ Ballad of the Canal.”one of the most popular and well-produced modern Chinese operas,has achieved many accomplishments in various aspects such as script compilation,music creation,stage performance,and stage design.This thesis takes it as a research object,and based on literature,aesthetics,sociology,and musicology as the theoretical basis,analyzes the creative and musical characteristics of the work from aspects such as inheritance,innovation,dramatics,and musicality.We also studied the prospects and future development of the Chinese operas to provide a theoretical foundation that improves the performance of "Ballad of the Canal" In the Summary,we reviewed the history of the general opera and the Chinese opera,discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the Chinese opera,and stated the research contribution,significance,methodology,and innovation.Chapter 1 evaluates the ideation,creation,and performance stages of the "the Grand Canal" based on the initiation,creativity,storyline,and characters of the opera.These evaluations are also essential for our later-stage writing characteristic analysis and musical characteristic analysis.Chapter 2focus on the inheritance and creativity of the play’s writing characteristics,the integration of drama and music,and the plot of the play.Chapter 3 is based on a detailed analysis of the form,tone,harmonic texture,rhythm,and orchestration of the classical arias of the play.The musical integrity,nationality,dramaticness,and universality of the play are discussed.Finally,after a comprehensive analysis of "Ballad of the Canal," I elicited my thoughts and ideas on the Chinese opera creation and found the balancing point of learning from the creation form of western operas and the fusion of traditional Chinese music,inheriting the classic and innovative pluralism,and dramaticness and musicality.The theory will make a particular theoretical contribution to the development of Chinese operas by seeking a road of nationalization,modernization,and internationalization with Chinese characteristics and characteristics of the times.
