A Study On The CPC’s Leadership Of Chongqing Drama Movement During The Anti Japanese War

Since the all-out war of resistance,the front line was unstable,and the front battlefield repeatedly failed,forcing the national government to move the capital again,this time to Chongqing.The choice of history and times made Chongqing quickly devote itself to the rear work of the Anti-Japanese War.As the seat of the national government,Chongqing brought together talents from all walks of life,and the CPC was good at making friends extensively.Under the leadership of Enlai Zhou,the mobilization of literature and art not only expanded the anti-Japanese national united front,but also aroused more ordinary people to participate in the war of resistance.Among the many ways of literary and artistic communication,drama occupies an important position.As the specific object of the Chinese Communist Party’s literature and art policy,the drama movement was carried out under the control of the Kuomintang and the frequent bombing of the Japanese army,and its work went through a difficult and tortuous process.During this period,the CPC’s leadership of drama work was mainly divided into two stages,with the Southern Anhui Incident in 1941 as the demarcating point,and from August 1937 to January 1941,the CPC mainly opened the working situation of the KMT walk in the form of drama movement,which belonged to the initial development stage of the drama movement.After the southern Anhui Incident,due to the strengthening of the anti-Communist tendency of the KMT,the dramatic movement from January 1941 to September 1945,under the leadership of the CPC,flexibly responded to various difficulties of the KMT and gradually developed in spite of difficulties.Due to the demands of the War of Resistance in this period,the drama movement centered on political mobilization,economic fundraising to support the war of resistance,awakening national consciousness,and fighting for democracy.After overcoming a series of difficulties,the drama workers in the KMT walk created a large number of high-quality drama works,which mainly propagated the Anti-Japanese War,developed production and educated the public,effectively cooperating with the implementation of the CPC’s policies in the KMT walk.At the same time,the Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China strengthened its contact with the people in the KMT walk area through the drama movement and better united the masses,which not only promoted the development of the Anti-Japanese War and other causes in the KMT walk area,but also enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the masses.The drama work done by the CPC in Chongqing is an important part of its practice of pursuing national and democratic resistance in the revolutionary historical period,and the achievements made in this work provide a useful reference for the development of socialist literature and art with Chinese characteristics in the new era.This paper takes the activities led by the Communist Party of China to Chongqing Drama Movement as the main object of investigation,and discusses how the Communist Party of China mobilized the society through the drama movement and gave play to the social education function of drama during the Anti-Japanese War.From the perspective of the leadership mode of the Communist Party of China to the drama movement,it shows the application,transformation and innovation of the Communist Party of China to the drama during the war of resistance,and strives for all forces conducive to the war of resistance to the greatest extent through the drama movement.This practice affected the people’s cognition of the domestic situation in the KMT area and,to a certain extent,transformed the social and cultural life,resulting in extensive and profound social changes,and became the epitome of the Party’s efforts in the KMT area to constantly expand the united front of the whole nation.
