Research On The Creation Of Woodcut Prints With Minority Themes In Southwest China

After the founding of New China,the ethnic unity policy and exchanges between ethnic areas have been advocated by the state,and it is because of the promotion of this policy that the creation of ethnic themes has been promoted.The strange and colorful customs marked by scenery,folk customs,folk houses,costumes and images in ethnic minority areas often provide interesting visual elements and fresh feelings for artists.In the long process of historical development,although the minority areas have undergone changes,they still remain true to their nature and are full of strong ethnic flavor and cultural characteristics.The unique woodcut art is used to truly record the increasingly rich cultural life and optimistic spirit of the ethnic minorities in Southwest China.Through the research on the creation of woodcut prints with the theme of ethnic minorities in Southwest China,the works have certain artistic and ornamental qualities,reflect the strong ethnic characteristics,and reflect the unique aesthetic taste and cultural ideas of the people of all ethnic groups in Southwest China.This paper will explore the creation of woodcut prints with ethnic themes in Southwest China from four parts.The first part,on the basis of understanding the southwest ethnic minorities,expounds the southwest ethnic minority subject prints;The second part studies the artistic language of Southwest minority woodcut prints from the perspective of expressive language and decorative language.The third part introduces the artistic value of Southwest ethnic minority prints,from the aesthetic value,cultural value,social value of demonstration and analysis;The fourth chapter is the author’s practice of the southwest ethnic themes in woodcut prints.From the perspective of practice,the author combs the important influence of ethnic themes on the woodcut prints creation practice,thus forming his personal creation style.In terms of content and form,the way that minority themes are presented in the creation of woodcut prints is interesting and meaningful,which makes the creation more ethnic and cultural.
