Research And Practice Of David Hockney’s Painting Language

When it comes to British artists,David Hockney is considered one of the most influential and artistic creators,and he also holds an irreplaceable artistic position in the field of contemporary art.He devoted his life to the pursuit of art,and Hockney formed his own unique painting language in his long-term artistic exploration.He introduced a series of artistic concepts from naturalism,liberalism,and pluralism into painting creation,bringing the audience a pleasing aesthetic experience.The focus of this article is on Hockney’s painting philosophy,language,and artistic characteristics.It is mainly divided into four parts: the first part focuses on summarizing Hockney and his artistic career;The second part starts from three aspects: media,painting expression methods,and perspective,focusing on Hawkney’s painting philosophy;The third part analyzes Hockney’s painting language and artistic features in composition,color,and shape through his works;The fourth part mainly discusses Hockney’s positive impact and direct inspiration on my artistic creation,as well as how I transformed his painting philosophy,language,and artistic characteristics into my own painting language and painting experience.In the process of painting creation,it is found that the reproduction and expression of life scenes are the core theme.Proper composition and flat treatment of color are the main forms,which are inseparable from the influence of Hockney’s painting concept and painting language.
