Contract documents refer to written agreements entered into by people in the past when conducting activities such as sales, leasing, borrowing, marriage, employment, etc.,to clarify the rights and obligations of the parties and ensure that both parties to the contract abide by their commitments. As a precious folk document, contract documents record the lives of ordinary people and preserve a wealth of folk language materials for Chinese research. They have high research value in exploring the new meanings of modern Chinese neologisms and the historical evolution of Chinese words.Due to the incomplete collation of contractual documents in the Hakka region of Jiangxi Province, and the sparse collection of systematically collated contractual documents in the Hakka region of Jiangxi Province, the current academic research on the language and vocabulary of contractual documents in the Hakka region of Jiangxi Province is still in its infancy. The thesis takes the contractual documents of the Hakka region in Jiangxi Province included in the "Series of Rare Hakka Documents(Volume I)" as the research object, and uses the knowledge of exegesis, collation, philology, and lexicology to classify and interpret the difficult words and phrases therein. The article is divided into six parts to conduct textual research and analysis on the words in the contract documents of Jiangxi Hakka. The first part mainly discusses the source of the topic, the value of the research, the current research situation and research methods of contract document vocabulary research. The second part sorts out the difficult words and expressions of land related words in the Jiangxi Hakka contract documents contained in the "Series",classifies the difficult words and expressions of land related words and expressions in the Jiangxi Hakka contract documents contained in the "Series" into three categories: fields and field auxiliary facilities, mountains and mountain auxiliary facilities, and land crops, and classifies and interprets these difficult words and expressions, while exploring the commonalities of these difficult words and expressions in terms of word formation and naming perspective; The third part classifies the difficult construction words in the Jiangxi Hakka contract documents contained in the "Series" into housing construction words, housing components and ancillary facilities words, and tombs and other construction words, and conducts a textual research on these difficult words; The fourth part examines and interprets the social activity words and difficult biological activity words involved in the Jiangxi Hakka contract documents contained in the "Series";The fifth part classifies and interprets other relatively small number of words in Jiangxi Hakka contract documents that do not belong to the categories of land, architecture, and activities, mainly including currency, appellation, and modifier words. The sixth part summarizes the content of the article, summarizes the difficult words involved in the article, analyzes their characteristics in word formation and semantic sources, and draws the following conclusions: From the semantic perspective, nominal words focus on expressing the function and purpose of the object they refer to;"Verbal" refers to social and biological activities. From the perspective of semantic sources, the cross formation of dialect colloquialism and common language words is the main source of new meanings of new words. From the perspective of word formation, noun complex words are mostly composed of nouns, with partial formal word formation occupying the dominant position, while combined word formation also accounts for a significant proportion due to the phenomenon of synonymous conjunctions and synonymous compound words.Verbal difficult words are mostly composed of dominant word formation and continuous verb word formation.
