Feuerbach once called his future philosophy "sensibility philosophy",and the philosophical revolution brought about by Marx’s concept of "practice" can also be seen as a "sensibility" revolution. Therefore, the study of the concept of "sensibility" of the two can see the differences in the core of their philosophy. This article will analyze the concept of "sensibility" of from three aspects: the logical starting point of the concept of sensibility, the main content of the concept of sensibility, and the teleology of the concept of sensibility.Feuerbach’s discussion of the concept of sensibility starts with sensibility things and objects, which is different from previous philosophers who discussed sensibility from the perspective of the subject’s ability.sensibility things are the beginning of Feuerbach’s future philosophy. They are non-intermediary and objective.Because they can directly verify their existence through their lovable attributes,Feuerbach wants to return all the content abstracted by speculative philosophy to sensibility things. The main content of the concept of sensibility refers to the relationship between subject and object. In Feuerbach’s view, the richness of sensibility things is linked to the intuitiveness of the subject. The intuitive subject is static,non-negating,Stoic,aesthetic and religious. The object manifests itself under intuition. In terms of teleology of "sensibility philosophy," Feuerbach aims to establish humanism so that individuals can regain their essential nature in the "religion of love" after the concept of God is revealed. However, this cannot be accomplished solely by relying on the intuitive ability of the subject.Marx discusses sensibility from the perspective of the subject, but he starts not with the subject’s sensibility ability but with the subject’s sensibility needs.Marx’s discussion of sensibility is initially presented in relation to each other between subject and object. In this relationship of need,Feuerbach’s construction of a relationship between subject and object through objectivity-intuition is no longer applicable.sensibility needs require that there must be an active type of relationship between subject and object, and it must be an objective activity. It is precisely because of alienation phenomena that occur in objective activities or practice processes that Marx’s required liberation is also based on liberation in objective activity processes, which is a sensibility liberation.Feuerbach and Marx’s understanding of the concept of "sensibility" is based on problems they want to solve. This initial difference leads to their different paths to liberation.Marx absorbed some content from Feuerbach’s religious criticism and sensibility research, but Feuerbach was not just a road sign for historical materialism because of this. His sensibility philosophy also has its own value.
