The romance "Not a wind from on high"(op43.no2)is the second of the vocal suites "Spring" by the Russian composer Rimsky-Korsak.The lyrics were written by the famous poet A.K.Tolstoy.The work combines the history and culture of the Russian nation with humanistic feelings and local folk songs, and has a distinctly nationalistic and realistic tendency in its music. This article takes the musical characteristics and interpretative techniques of "Not the Wind that Blows from on High" as the starting point, combining the background of the song’s composition, the style, the analysis of the composition, the emotional processing and the actual singing experience in concerts,as well as the relevant literature to conduct a study and exploration,in order to provide some reference for more vocal singers.
