Research And Practice On The Spatial Composition Of "Line" In Modern Fiber Art

As one of the important languages of the fiber art creation,enormous changes take place on the focus of creation,the application of formal language,the exploration of space and the injection of concepts of lines after they learn from all kinds of artistic ideological trends.As for the materials of lines in the modern fiber art,the scope of lines expands from the natural lines,superficial lines and the transformational lines,which is gradually close to the comprehensive materials.In terms of the pattern of manifestation of lines,it achieves the transformation from the planar,two-dimensional,three-dimensional and even works of devices.It means that artists closely follow the diversified development of art and the trend of communication of different disciplines and fields,place the spiritual pursuit and subjective feelings on "lines",and upgrade the attempt of lines to a new level.The paper clarifies the ambiguity of common concepts in the lines of modern fiber art,summarizes the whole process of the increasingly ambiguous boundary between lines and comprehensive materials in the course of development,and starts from the categories of lines in the modern fiber art,the application of lines in space,and the conceptual expression in spatial composition.In addition,after literature reading,it analyzes and compares the works of linear structure diaplayed in the International Fiber Art Biennial Exhibition from "Lausanne to Beijing".Then,after considering the following three aspects,including the techniques,materials and concepts of lines,it draws the three conclusions below.Firstly,based on the formal beauty rules,excellent spatial works can be created with the techniques of lines.Secondly,lines can play an obvious role in the composition of space because of the directivity and plasticity,so it is easy to try a new style and create various dominant space and extended recessive space.Thirdly,both the properties of materials,texture,and colors of lines in the modern fiber art and the intervention of acquired dispositions like the form,space and concept of works with linear structure can exert certain influence on the composition of space in the works.Finally,after summarizing the practical experience of the work in the graduation project named Lingering Fragrances,it tries to discover the infinite possibilities of linear language in the future development and offers a reference to the thought of artistic creation for itself.
