In the 1920s and 1930s,Chinese folk music teaching is still in preliminary exploration stage.Since there is no systematic teaching system and no corresponding teaching materials for pipa,teachers usually use the traditional teaching method of "Improve technique with music".This method means that students practice music to improve their playing skills.Although with the change of times,pipa teaching has already possessed a relatively complete teaching system,but it is undeniable that the traditional teaching method of "Improve technique with music" has its necessity.This paper introduces the background of the traditional teaching method"Improve technique with music" and its present situation in contemporary lute teaching.This paper analyzes the importance of basic skills,and discusses the importance of "Improve technique with music" for pipa teaching.Then,the author takes the wheel finger technique of pipa technique as an example to analyze how to use the method of replacing skill with melody to train wheel finger in pipa works.Thus,it shows the important role of "Improve technique with music" for pipa learning.This paper adopts the method of literature collection and example analysis,and combined with daily practical experience to carry out the research on the effect of "Improve technique with music" on pipa learning.This paper probes into the important role played by "Improve technique with music" in pipa learning,aiming at providing new ideas for pipa players to learn pipa,and making the basic skills training effective.
