A Study Of Liu Zong Yuan’s Landscape Literature In Ecocritical Perspective

Liu Zongyuan was a great master of ancient Chinese literature,and his landscape literature enjoyed great fame in the Tang Dynasty,and is also a treasure of ancient Chinese literature.By using his literary creation as a carrier,Liu Zongyuan showed all the natural landscapes and all the social aspects through meticulous description and rich imagination.In the context of the development of landscape literature in the Tang Dynasty,we will discover the distinctive natural ecological beauty of Liu Zongyuan’s landscape literature and the natural ecological meaning of harmony between man and nature presented in the ecological aesthetic context of the integration of things and me.From the social contradictions in which Liu Zongyuan lived,he explores the people-centered social and ecological ideals of "obeying people’s desires and satisfying their nature," "serving the people with officials," and "making peace with Yuan Yuan a priority." The socio-ecological ideals of the people centered in the landscape literature are Faced with a sudden twist of fate and a bad social reality,Liu Zongyuan sought to look at himself in the natural landscape and find solace and spiritual liberation,thus bringing his spiritual ecology into a balanced state.Through an overall grasp of Liu Zongyuan’s landscape literature and its three dimensions of natural,social,and spiritual ecological implications,we hope to enrich the study of Liu’s landscape literature and expand the connotation of excellent ancient Chinese literature.
