Research On The Image Expression Of "Facial Expression" In Ink And Wash Figure Painting

Image expression represents the spirit deeply rooted in the soil of traditional Chinese ethnic culture,and is the internal embodiment of the cultural temperament and aesthetics of the Chinese nation.Today,with the change of the times and the development of Chinese society,contemporary figure painters of ink and wash,in the process of inheriting the traditional ink and wash culture,integrate more abundant image expression into it,and gradually highlight their subjective feelings.The constant pursuit of image expression in contemporary ink figure painting has formed a unique mode of thinking and expression in Chinese painting.With the continuous development of the contemporary cultural context and the influx of Western painting,the painters’ ways of thinking and image expression are becoming more and more diverse,and the image expression of contemporary ink and wash figure painting has undergone new changes.This article focuses on the imagery expression techniques of "facial expressions" as the main research object,and conducts research and exploration through methods such as literature research and case analysis.This paper is divided into four chapters for discussion.Chapter 1first elaborates on the characteristics of "facial expressions".It also combs the painting theory of "facial expression" in the past dynasties,and discusses the role of "facial expression" in the performance of figure painting.Secondly,it elaborates on the meaning of "imagery" and further explains the imagery expression in the category of Chinese painting.The second chapter discusses the image expression of "facial expression" in figure painting.It is reflected in ancient figure painting and modern ink and wash figure painting respectively,and lists the works of representative painters to analyze and summarize their specific characteristics and methods.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the image expression forms and characteristics of "facial expressions" in contemporary ink and wash figure painting,selects the works of representative figure painters for interpretation,and analyzes the specific presentation of image expression techniques in contemporary ink and wash figure painting from the aspects of modeling and pen and ink.Chapter 4,based on the author’s own artistic practice,studies and explores the application and expression of the imagery expression technique of "facial expressions" in the author’s artistic creation,and integrates his own aesthetic concepts to generate new visual experiences and aesthetic values.The exploration of the direction of image expression has undoubtedly played a positive role in promoting the development of contemporary ink figure painting.
