Virtual Digital Character Design Based On Extended Reality

With the development of information technology and service platform represented by digital technology,"digital art and design" has become an emerging borderline and interdisciplinary subject,among which "virtual digital man" as the "virtual avatar" of people in the future "meta-universe",that is,the final form of the Internet,is now a hot topic.In order to adapt to the digital development of society,the country actively promotes the road of digital innovation.Among them,digitalization of traditional culture is a major force,which not only brings new sparks between tradition and technology,but also enables traditional culture to develop and grow,highlighting the strength of national culture.A dream of red mansions as a big Kui Bao in Chinese literature,has been praised by people love,discussion and re-creation.The "Dream of Red Mansions in My Heart" exhibition,jointly held by Dream Langfang and Peitong Digital Art,brings together the excellent works of contemporary young people to recreate the dream of Red Mansions.This makes Honglou culture once again widely spread among young people.In this exhibition,there is a track about the creation path of the Honglou virtual man.Thus it can be seen that virtual digital human as an important part of the meta-universe,in the current digital development of the most hot.Based on the above background of the integration of Red Chamber culture and digital technology,this paper explores how to carry out virtual digital processing on the characters of the dream of Red Chamber based on the existing digital technology,so as to present a new look of the Red Chamber.In addition,XR technology is used to realize the interactive display of the re-creation of the Red Building culture,so as to bring users a virtual experience with artistry and immersion.In the design process,the characters of the dream of the Red Chamber are virtualized as a breakthrough point,so that their aesthetic and interactive characteristics can be combined in the virtual experience to form the cross-media communication and expression of cultural connotation.Improve the communication efficiency of cultural content related to A Dream of Red Mansions,expand the channels for cultural content display,and realize the promotion of literary content,cultural value inheritance and digital experience of A Dream of Red Mansions.The text of this paper consists of five chapters.Firstly,it explores the concept of the current virtual digital human,conducts an in-depth analysis of it,and forms the direction of future creation in sorting out the development context of virtual digital human.After that,the characteristics,creative ideas and development direction of virtual digital people with Chinese aesthetic elements are summarized,and models and ideas are drawn up for future creation.At the same time,it discusses the application value of digitization of the characters in the dream of Red Mansions,summarizes the comprehensive description of the characters in the external,internal,similes and metaphors,and then elaborates the creation content and intrinsic value of this design.According to the plot of the article,it constructs the world space where the characters in the Dream of Red Mansions are virtualized,and finalizes the original characters in line with this theme for virtualization processing.Three principles of content design are proposed.Secondly,the design content is divided into four parts: character image,scene construction,creative vision and interactive interpretation.The character image is composed of character ontology,costume and dynamic transformation,and the scene construction is told by specific text after visual presentation.Creative vision is to demonstrate the fate of characters by materializing other characters in A Dream of Red Mansions.Interactive deduction is a multi-media interactive presentation based on visual presentation.Finally,the theory and integrated data are applied into practice to present the translation scheme of the visual processing of the ideological core of A Dream of Red Mansions,as well as the concrete process and results of the digital design practice.Finally,the whole paper is summarized,the conclusion is drawn and the prospect is put forward.
