Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Intestinal Damp-heat Syndrome In Patients With Radiation Enteritis Caused By Rectal Cancer By Retention Enema Of Changqing Decoctio

Objective:Through clinical observation of 60 patients with radiation enteritis with intestinal damp-heat syndrome for rectal carcinoma,we evaluated the therapeutic efficacy of Changqing Decoction on radiation enteritis with intestinal damp-heat syndrome.Methods:Sixty patients who met the inclusion criteria for radiation enteritis for rectal carcinoma with intestinal damp-heat syndrome were collected and enrolled in the clinical study.The patients with tumors in the group were randomized into two groups,including the control group and the treatment group,with 30 patients in both groups.Both groups were given basic treatment,in the control group,a combination of kangfuxin solution and dexamethasone injection is given as a retention sausage,while in the treatment group,the same mixture is used for sausage enema treatment and the combination of Changqing Decoction as a retention sausage.All patients were required to complete 2 courses of treatment,one of which was for 14 days,and the efficacy was evaluated after 2 courses of treatment,comparing the RTOG/EORTC score,TCM symptom score,KPS score,CRP,BMI index and safety index before and after treatment between the two groups,data were collected,and the SPSS 26.0 software package was used for statistical processing and data analysis.Results:①RTOG/EORTC scores:After 2 courses of treatment,all patients’ RTOG/EORTC scores showed improvement,which was considered statistically significant(P<0.05);among them,the improvement of scores in the treatment group was more prominent and higher than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),indicating that the retention sausage of Changqing Decoction could significantly improve the patients’post-radiotherapy reaction.②TCM symptom scores:There was no significant difference in the TCM symptom scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable;after treatment,the TCM symptom scores of both groups decreased,which was statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that both the control group and the treatment group could improve the clinical symptoms of the patients;and the difference in the TCM symptom scores of the treatment group before and after treatment was obviously better than that of the control group,which was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the retention sausage of Changqing Decoction could effectively relieve the TCM symptoms of the patients.③KPS scores:There was no statistically significant difference between the KPS scores of the control group and the treatment group before treatment(P>0.05);the KPS scores of both groups were better after treatment than before treatment,with social significance(P<0.05);compared between groups,the KPS scores of the treatment group improved better than those of the control group after treatment,with political significance(P<0.05),meaning that the retention sausage of Changqing Decoction contributed to the enhancement of the general condition of the patients.④CRP,BMI:There was no obvious change in CRP and BMI between the treatment and control groups before and after treatment,which was not considered statistically significant(P>0.05).⑤Safety evaluation:Patients in both groups did not experience any significant adverse reactions during the treatment period,and the blood routine,urine and stool routine,electrolytes,liver function,kidney function and ECG before and after the treatment were all within the safe range,with positive security.Conclusion:The retention sausage of Changqing Decoction can effectively relieve the post-radiotherapy reaction of patients with radiation enteritis with intestinal damp-heat syndrome for rectal carcinoma and reduce patients’ clinical symptoms;Changqing Decoction can alleviate the TCM clinical symptoms of patients with radiation enteritis to a certain extent and dramatically improve patients’ survival quality with favorable clinical efficacy;the retention sausage of Changqing Decoction can improve patients’ general condition with radiation enteritis with intestinal damp-heat syndrome for rectal carcinoma,which is conducive to improving patients’ tolerance of subsequent treatment and ensuring the smooth progress of treatment.
