Study On The Prescription And Syndrome Of Gegenqinlian Decoction In Treatise On Febrile Disease

Purpose:Gegen Qinlian Decoction was first recorded in Treatise on Febrile Diseases,which mainly treated diarrfea with damp-heat.Based on the principle of “different diseases,same treatment”,the later doctors used it to treat many diseases in various departments with a exact effect.This article adopts literature research methods and data mining technology to explore the syndrome and treatment rules of Gegen Qinlian Decoction,and uses network pharmacology approach to further elucidate the theory of "same treatment for different diseases",so that it can be better used in clinical practice.Material and method:This article is divided into 3 sections: The first section is the literature review.Analyze and explain the origin,etiology and pathogenesis,main symptoms,compatibility and the understanding and application by modern physicians of Gegen Qinlian Decoction.The second section is the study of modern medical cases.Retrieve cases of Gegen Qinlian Decoction in CNKI,VIP and WF from the establishment of the library to October2021,create a database,and analyze it using SPSS 25.0 software.The third section is the network pharmacology research.On the basis of the second section,the network pharmacology of two diseases with high frequency in the main diseases of Gegen Qinlian Decoction(acute gastroenteritis and type 2 diabetes)is carried out to explore the mechanism of action of "same treatment of different diseases".Results:1.Through the theoretical study of prescriptions,it is found that Gegen Qinlian Decoction is not simply used for diarrfea with damp-heat.as early as ancient Lu Jiuzhi and other physicians have clearly pointed out it,and used it to treat damp-warm diarrhea,alcoholic heat and asthma,cervical spondylosis,measles,periodontitis and so on.The main pathogenesis of Gegen Qinlian Decoction is that after the Taiyang disease is mistreated,Xiere is invaginated in Yangming to cause the Yangming meridians and internal organs to become hot.In addition to the symptoms described in Treatise on Febrile Diseases,the main point of syndrome differentiation are strong neck and back,red eyes,toothache,mouth and tongue ulceration,urinary tract pain and so on.2.Among the 127 medical cases,common TCM diseases include diarrhea and “Xiao Ke”,and Western medicine diseases include acute gastroenteritis and type 2 diabetes;the application indications are: diarrhea,dry mouth and thirst,short red urine,abdominal pain,fever,red tongue,yellow and greasy coating,rolling and rapid pulse;the usual doses are:Gegen 30 g,Huanglian 10 g,Huangqin 10 g,Gancao 10 g,and the dose for children is about one-third of the adult dose;the commonly used modified medicines are Baizhu,Fuling,Baishao,and Muxiang;it can be used in combination with Baitouweng Decoction,Tongxie Yaofang,Guizhi Renshen Decoction,Fuzi Lizhong Decoction,etc.3.Network pharmacology analysis showed that Gegen Qinlian Decoction had 140 active ingredients and 265 targets.Acute gastroenteritis had 520 targets and type 2 diabetes had 962 targets.Active components such as quercetin,wogonin,and baicalein in Gegen Qinlian Decoction through 31 common targets such as AKT1,IL-6 and TP53,and 15 pathways including AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications,cancer,chagas disease,inflammatory bowel disease and toxoplasmosis to play a role of "same treatment for different diseases" in acute gastroenteritis and type 2 diabetes.Conclusion:Through the study of the theory of prescriptions and syndromes and the statistical analysis of medical cases,we have a deep comprehension of the theory of prescriptions and syndromes and the rule of diagnosis and treatment of Gegen Qinlian decoction.In view of summarizing the previous experience,we can inherit and develop the formula better,and provide a reference for its full clinical value.Through the network pharmacology study of Gegen Qinlian Decoction in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis and type 2 diabetes,it is concluded that the treatment of two different diseases by Gegen Qinlian Decoction mainly affects biological processes such as inflammatory response,oxidative stress,cell activation proliferation,differentiation migration and repair,and involves signaling pathways such as AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications,cancer,chagas disease,inflammatory bowel disease and toxoplasmosis to exert the multi-component,multi-target and multi-way mechanism of action.It provides a evidence for further research on the action mechanism of Gegen Qinlian Decoction,and makes a reasonable explanation for the theory of "same treatment for different diseases" in traditional Chinese medicine.
