| Purpose:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians approach in improving limb spasticity, lower limb motor function and quality of life of patients with spastic hemiplegia after stroke.Material and method:A total of 60 patients with spastic hemiplegia of lower limbs after stroke who met the inclusion criteria were selected from Department K2 of Rehabilitation Center of Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to October 2021 as the experimental subjects. They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 30 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians therapy, and the control group was treated with conventional body acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation training. Both groups were treated for4 weeks. The improved Ashworth spasticity scale and Brunnstrom staging were used to evaluate the limb spasticity of the two groups before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment,respectively.Fugl-Meyer lower limb assessment scale and modified Bathel index score were used to evaluate the limb motor function and quality of life of patients in the experimental group and the control group.Results:1.Comparing the general data of patients, there was no significant difference in gender, stroke type, age and course of disease between the experimental group and the control group(P >0.05),indicating comparability.2.There was no significant difference in the scores of modified Ashworth spasm scale,Brunnstrom stage,Fugl-Meyer lower limb function score and modified Bathel index between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.3.After treatment, the Ashworth spasm scale scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the control group(P < 0.05).The Brunnstrom stage,Fugl-Meyer lower limb function score and modified Bathel index score of the experimental group and the control group were higher than those before treatment, and the experimental group was higher than the control group(P < 0.05).4.After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 83.33 %,which was significantly higher than 63.33 % of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians and conventional body acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation training are effective for spastic hemiplegia of lower limbs after stroke.2.Eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians and conventional body acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation training can alleviate the degree of limb spasm, improve the motor function of lower limbs and improve the quality of life of patients.3.The curative effect of eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians on spastic hemiplegia of lower limbs after stroke is better than that of conventional body acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation training.4.Eye acupuncture and acupuncture rehabilitation combined with connecting meridians has high safety and no adverse reactions. |
