Research On The Medication Rules Of Professor Bao Shentao In Treating Acne Vulgaris Based On The TCM Inheritance Auxiliary Platform Syste

Acne is the most common chronic inflammatory disease of hair follicles and sebaceous glands in dermatology.In China,the prevalence rate of Acne is about 8.06%,and the prevalence rate is increasing year by year.The typical clinical manifestations are blackhead acnes,whitehead acnes,interstitial erythema,scars,nodules,and cysts.Although the causes of acne are complex,the primary causes can still be classified into four types:excessive androgen levels,increased cortical secretion,abnormal keratosis of follicular cortical gland ducts,and proliferation of propionibacterium acnes(P.acnes).Daily care,physical therapy,medication diagnosis and surgical treatment are modern medical methods for diagnosing and treating acne.If acne is not treated appropriately or promptly with allowing acne to be developed naturally,or treated improperly,a series of complications can be caused,such as acute suppurative lesions,psychological disorders,scars,pigmentation,etc.The scars caused by acne can seriously affect the patient’s appearance.Acne is generally named in Western medicine field,while it is called as "comedo","pimple ","lung wind acne","whelk","facial acne",etc.in traditional Chinese medicine,which is positively correlated with the lesions caused by lung,liver,spleen,stomach,kidney and heart.In the principle of methodology of traditional Chinese medicine,the integration of differentiation of disease and dialectical ways of thinking to diagnose and treat acne can alleviate various clinical symptoms for patients and consequently improve their quality of life.Therefore,traditional Chinese medical treatments can make up for the deficiency of Western medicines in treating acne.The supervisor,Baos Shentao as the Chief Physician in in the clinical field of dermatology and venereal diseases,has over 30 years of practical experience in treating acne,and he has formed his own unique insights regarding acne through long-term clinical,teaching,and scientific research work.Professor Bao has not only accumulated extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment,but also been skilled in performing treatment combined with patients’ individualized symptoms,which refers to flexibly use traditional Chinese and Western medicines or combine traditional Chinese and Western medicine to diagnose and treat the disease.In the context of the prevalence of acne,it is necessary to study and explore various effective methods for the diagnosis and treatments for this disease do that continuously improve the diagnosis and treatment capabilities of acne,ultimately benefiting patients.In this study,the "TCM inheritance assistance platform system software" is primarily used to search,exact,classify,analyze,and estimate Professor Bao Shentao’s outpatient prescriptions for acne treatment;secondly,Professor Bao’s clinical experience in the treatment of the disease,such as the frequency of application of various Chinese medicines,the compatibility of medicines,and the characteristics of prescription composition,are analyzed and summarized based on the study;thirdly,the summary of my study and the supervisor Bao’s teaching contents are combined to summarize the understanding of this disease,so as to show the logic and comprehension for this research.In this paper,99 prescriptions(a total of 151 traditional Chinese medicines)of Professor Bao Shentao’s clinical treatments for acne are statistically analyzed by using the software of Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance System,and the medication patterns and experiences are analyzed by using association rules and clustering algorithms.The data are reviewed multiple times to ensure their accuracy during the input and analysis process.The results of statistical analysis of correlation algorithm shows that the traditional Chinese medicines commonly used by Chief Physician Bao Shentao in treating acne include:honeysuckle,dried rehmannia root,peony bark,stir-baked RHIIZOMA CURCUMAE with vinegar,forsythia suspensa,red peony,Atractylodes macrocephala,stir-baked RHIZOMA SPARGANII with vinegar,spica prunellae,dandelion,etc.,of which honeysuckle is used the most frequently,a total of 89 times,followed by dried rehmannia root,a total of 63 times.Among these traditional Chinese medicines,cold herbs and bitter herbs are dominated,which mostly have the effect on the liver,spleen,stomach channels.The 151 traditional Chinese medicines are classified into 19 categories based on the drug classification method quoted from the national planning textbook"Traditional Chinese Medicine" during the period of 11th Five Year Plan.Among them,31 types of heat clearing drugs and 18 types of surface clearing drugs are most commonly used,followed by qi regulating drugs and phlegm resolving cough and asthma relieving drugs,all of which are 11 types.Commonly used drug combinations are:①honeysuckle,dried rehmannia root;②honeysuckle,dandelion;③honeysuckle,dried rehmannia root;④honeysuckle,peony bark;⑤ dried rehmannia root,peony bark;⑥ dried rehmannia root,red peony;⑦ dried rehmannia root,stir-baked RHIZOMA SPARGANII with vinegar;⑧ peony bark,red peony;etc.More than or equal to 9 frequency symptoms among 99 acne cases are pulse string,white fur,dark purple tongue,red tongue,slippery pulse,tooth mark tongue,yellow fur,thin pulse,etc.The results shows considering that the disease is based on liver depression,which is related to the spleen,stomach,phlegm dampness,and stasis,the supervisor Bao believes that the principle of acne treatment shall be focused on clearing heat,detoxifying,and purulent discharge,and the commonly used medicines should include honeysuckle,forsythia,dandelion,houttuynia cordata,and platycodon grandiflorum.In addition,the disease occurs frequently in female groups,because women’s health is based on the liver in general,and the main role of the liver is to store blood and relieve,based on regulating the whole body qi;if the whole body qi is stagnant referring to not scattered and depressed,female patients with acne can easily develop insufficient qi and blood,leading to emotional discomfort.Therefore,medicines for soothing the liver,relieving depression,and nourishing the heart and the liver,such as cortex albiziae,radix curcumae,and spina date seed,and matched with radix paeoniae alba,pericarpium citri reticulatae,fructus aurantii,cyperus rotundus,fructus aurantii,are commonly used to treat female patients.To treat damp heat and blood stasis,coix seed,Phellodendron amurense,Salvia miltiorrhiza,rhizoma sparganii,and curcuma zedoary can be combined.The cited prescription explains the supervisor’s academic thoughts and common used medical experiences well,which elaborates the characteristics of actual drug utilizing of supervisor Bao Shentao in clinical treatment.
