Hypertension is a chronic cardiovascular disease characterized by elevated arterial pressure. As a disease that needs to be detected by modern technology, there is no corresponding disease name in ancient books.According to the clinical symptoms and manifestations of hypertension, traditional Chinese medicine often classifies it as "vertigo".Vertigo is an important concomitant symptom of hypertension, and its occurrence can become an important factor in predicting cerebrovascular disease and other important complications in hypertensive patients. In modern medicine, the effect of antihypertensive drugs on controlling the symptoms of hypertension and vertigo is relatively general, while traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in improving symptoms and reducing complications. In the system of viscera differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine, the liver and spleen are often combined for treatment due to the correlation of their physiological and pathological characteristics, especially for hypertension and dizziness, and the treatment of liver and spleen together has a relatively rich theoretical basis, which is also reflected in palace medicine. The Tang Dynasty was a highly developed period in China’s history, during which the political, economic, cultural and other elements of the country developed rapidly.During this period, palace medicine also accumulated unique experience in diseases.Select three representative works of court medicine in the Tang Dynasty,"Prepare for Urgent Qianjinyao Fang","Qianjinyi Fang",and "Waitai Secret Yao",to explore the rules of prescription formation for the treatment of hypertension and vertigo.Professor Zhang Jingchun has been engaged in the research and collation of palace medical literature for a long time, and she also attached great importance to the palace medical literature of the Tang Dynasty. In the process of clinical diagnosis and treatment,we have inherited and developed the medical literature of the Tang Dynasty and other imperial doctors’ treatment ideas and methods for hypertension and vertigo, and achieved good clinical results. This article attempts to explore the prescription rules of Tang Dynasty palace medicine and Professor Zhang Jingchun’s prescription for the treatment of hypertension and vertigo in clinical practice,so as to further explore the academic thoughts of Tang Dynasty physicians, and organize the context of Professor Zhang Jingchun’s inheritance from palace medicine, hoping to be helpful for the treatment of modern clinical hypertension and vertigo.Study 1:Data mining for the treatment of dizziness in the Tang Dynasty palace medical literatureObjective:To explore the prescription for treating vertigo in the Tang Dynasty palace medical literature and explore the rules of prescription and medication for treating vertigo in the Tang Dynasty palace medical literature. Methods:Three representative palace medical literature works of the Tang Dynasty were selected, including "Prepare for Urgent Qianjinyao Fang","Qianjinyi Fang",and "Waitai Secret Yao".Select the prescription for treating dizziness, establish a database, use a traditional Chinese medicine inheritance assistance platform, and use frequency analysis, association rules, and entropy clustering algorithm to explore the rules of its formulation and medication.Result:1.162 prescriptions for treating vertigo in the palace medical literature were selected, involving 180 traditional Chinese medicines.2.The top ten drugs with the highest frequency of occurrence in the palace medical literature vertigo prescriptions are licorice, cinnamon, human body, fangfeng, aconite, tuckahoe, dried ginger, atractylodes macrocephala, chuanxiong, and angelica; The drug properties are mostly warm and cold; The medicinal taste is mostly pungent, sweet, and bitter; The meridians are mostly spleen and lung, followed by heart, stomach, kidney, and liver.3.Based on the association rule apriori algorithm, the high-frequency combinations of drugs obtained include" licorice, cinnamon,"" ginseng, licorice,""cinnamon,Fangfeng,""atractylodes macrocephala, cinnamon,"" Chuanxiong, cinnamon,"and so on;";Based on entropy clustering algorithm,11 new prescriptions were obtained. Conclusion:In the Tang Dynasty, vertigo diseases were classified into two categories:deficiency and excess, with wind, phlegm, blood stasis, and heat as the main etiological factors in excess, while yang and spleen deficiency were the main etiological factors in deficiency. There is also evidence of partial deficiency and substantiation. From the perspective of viscera the five viscera can all cause dizziness, especially the spleen. In terms of treatment, court medicine in the Tang Dynasty discussed the treatment of dizziness, mainly using "warming yang and dispelling wind",as well as a series of treatments such as resolving phlegm, strengthening the spleen, promoting blood circulation, regulating qi,calming the liver, and calming the nerves. The characteristic of its formulation is the combination of warming yang and strengthening the spleen with drugs for relieving external symptoms and expelling wind.Cinnamon is the main ingredient for warming yang and strengthening the spleen, combined with drugs such as ginseng, licorice, aconite, and dried ginger. The expelling wind drugs are mainly composed of Fangfeng, combined with angelica, asarum, and Chuanxiong.Typical compatibility includes "liquorice,Fangfeng, cinnamon,""ginseng, angelica, licorice,""Cinnamon, dried ginger, and aconite".Study 2:Based on data mining,Professor Zhang Jingchun’s empirical study on the treatment of hypertension and vertigo with liver and spleen therapyObjective:To explore the clinical data of Professor Zhang Jingchun’s outpatient treatment of hypertensive vertigo using the liver and spleen therapy, and summarize Professor Zhang Jingchun’s academic thinking and clinical experience in inheriting palace medical ideas and using the liver and spleen therapy to treat hypertensive vertigo. Methods:Collect the effective case data of Professor Zhang Jingchun in the treatment of hypertension and vertigo from October 1,2020 to October 31,2022,establish a database, use the auxiliary platform of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance, use frequency analysis, association rules, and entropy clustering algorithm to explore the rules of its formulation and medication.Result:1.Enter 163 effective case data of Professor Zhang Jingchun in the treatment of hypertension and vertigo, with a male to female ratio of about 1:1.116 cases complicated with other diseases, and the medication involves 150 traditional Chinese medicines.2.Professor Zhang Jingchun’s commonly used traditional Chinese medicines for the treatment of hypertension and vertigo include Gastrodia elata,Eucommia ulmoides,Uncaria,Fulin,Achyranthes bidentata,Morus parasiticus,Leonurus japonicus, tangerine peel, sour jujube kernel, pueraria lobata, etc; The frequency of meridian tropism is mostly liver and spleen meridians, with a sweet, smooth and gentle taste; The most commonly used drugs are classified as tonifying drugs, calming liver yang drugs, expelling wind and dredging collaterals drugs, expelling wind and dampness drugs, and eliminating dampness and phlegm drugs.3.Based on the association rule apriori algorithm,high-frequency drug combinations are obtained as "Eucommia ulmoides,Gastrodia elata," "Uncaria,Gastrodia elata," "Achyranthes bidentata,Eucommia ulmoides," "Eucommia ulmoides,Fulin," and so on;Seven new prescriptions were obtained based on entropy clustering algorithm. Conclusion:Professor Zhang uses the method of treating the liver and spleen together, with a sweet and smooth taste and a mild effect. In his recipes, drugs for tonifying, calming the liver, and resolving phlegm are commonly used.At the same time,it inherits the ideas of palace medicine and attaches importance to the connection between the liver and spleen. In the treatment of the liver, the methods of calming the liver, tonifying the liver, soothing the liver, and clearing the liver are commonly used.In the treatment of the spleen, the methods of invigorating the spleen, resolving phlegm, supplementing qi and blood, and nourishing the vital energy are commonly used.Emphasize the connection between liver and spleen, advocate a holistic approach, and take Tianma Gouteng Drink and Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction as the core prescriptions, placing equal emphasis on blood and veins. In the process of treatment, disease and syndrome should be combined, and measures should be taken according to individual circumstances. At the same time, attention should be paid to health preservation. The prominent treatment feature is the simultaneous treatment of liver and spleen.
