Clinical Observation On The Efficacy Of Modified Wendan Decoction In The Treatment Of Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Bronchitis (phlegm-heat Obstructing The Lungs Syndrome

Research objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Wendan decoction in the treatment of phlegm-heat accumulation in the lung syndrome of acute bronchitis.Methods:From January 2022 to December 2022,60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the outpatient and inpatient Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the second affiliated hospital of the People’s Republic of China,according to the method of random number table,the patients were divided into two groups,the control group and the treatment group with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with levofloxacin hydrochloride tablets,while the treatment group was treated with modified Wendan decoction,once a day for 7 days.The general data such as age/sex were compared between the two groups.Statistical analysis of the control group and treatment group patients before and after treatment symptoms score,physical signs score,TCM syndrome quantitative score,CRP,WBC,NEUT%and other indicators,the curative effect and adverse reaction of the two groups were compared.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in sex,age and the related indexes between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),indicating that there was comparability.(2)In-group comparison:After treatment,the symptom scores and TCM syndrome quantization scores of the two groups decreased,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment,the levels of CRP,WBC and NEUT%in the two groups decreased,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).(3)Comparison between groups:There was no significant difference between the two groups in the scores of symptoms and TCM syndrome quantization(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the laboratory indexes of CRP,WBC and NEUT%between the two groups after treatment,there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The results showed that the improvement of symptoms,TCM syndromes and laboratory indexes in the control group were similar to those in the treatment group.Conclusion:Modified Wendan decoction can improve the symptoms of patients with acute bronchitis attack of phlegm-heat accumulation in the lung.It has definite therapeutic effect and good safety,and is worth popularizing and using.
