Purpose:In this paper,the efficacy of the application of Baihe Gujin Tang in the treatment of ground-glass opacity(GGO)with lung and kidney yin deficiency was observed.The mechanism of action of the aioi from Jinshui Theoretical and the clinical application effect of the formula were also explored.Material and method:1.In this subject,the number of cases of ground-glass opacity between January 2021 and December 2022 in the Surgery Clinic of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine – Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)was carefully collected,and the patient’s wishes were fully adopted,and 63 cases in the decoction group and 27 cases in the blank group were divided into the decoction group and 27 cases in the blank group according to inclusion、exclusion 、exit and termination test criteria.The observation time was three months。2.Record and organize the age,sex,nodule location,maximum diameter of the first nodule and other relevant data of the two groups of patients.Patients in the decoction group drank Baihe Gujin Tang,(Drug dosage:Baihe 20 g,Shengdihuang 15 g,Shudihuang 20 g,Xuanshen 15 g,Jiegeng 10 g,Beimu 10 g,Maidong 15 g,Shaoyao 15 g,Danggui 15 g,Gancao 5g).Decoting method of Baihe Gujin Tang: add 1000 ml of water to each dose,boil over high heat,cook for 1 hour on low heat,cook to 300 ml,1 dose per day,100 ml each time,oral 3 times a day.3.The blank did not drink decoction during the observation period,After 3 months,both of groups of patients went to our outpatient clinic to review the chest HRCT,recorded and sorted out the maximum diameter of the nodule after 3 months for the two groups of patients,compared with the maximum diameter of the nodule recorded at the first visit,recorded whether the nodule changed,sorted out the data,summarized the collected information and established the corresponding database,and applied SPSS 26.0 statistical software to statistically analyze the data obtained.Results:1.General Information:(1)Age:Through comparison and data analysis,P>0.05 in the distribution of age distribution and the maximum diameter of the first nodule was not significantly different,and it could be considered that age was not related to the maximum diameter of the first nodule.(2)Sex: After data analysis,it was confirmed that the distribution of sex and the maximum diameter of the first nodule was P >0.05,and the difference in distribution was not statistically significant。2.In the decoction group,oral administration of Baihe Gujin Tang,no drug intervention in the blank group,and the comparison of chest HRCT with the first diagnosis data after 3 months of re-examination,the overall change of nodules was summarized(Shrinking,lightening,and disappearing are effective,and increasing and no change are ineffective).3.After the analysis of SPSS26.0 statistical software,the following results were obtained: the maximum diameter of the first nodule was tested by independent sample,P =0.436>0.05,which was not statistically significant,and the maximum nodule diameter of the re-examination was obtained by the analysis method of independent sample t test,P =0.001<0.05,there were significant statistical differences,and the diameter of the nodule before and after the re-examination changed significantly.The maximum diameter and number of the nodule at first and repeat visits in the two groups was compared one by one using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.The diameter of the nodule was reduced in the decoction group,P =0.000<0.05,and the diameter of the nodules in the blank group increased,P =0.021<0.05.Number of nodules at first and repeat visits in both groups : the number of nodules in the decoction group was significantly reduced P =0.000<0.05,P<0.01,the number of repeat nodules in the blank group did not change significantly,and most of them increased or remained unchanged.The Mann-Whitney test was used to verify the nodule changes in the decoction group and the blank group: P =0.000<0.05,and the effectiveness rate of the decoction group reached 77.8%,so the null hypothesis was rejected(the distribution of nodule changes in the decoction group and the blank group was the same,and the decoction was ineffective),which was statistically significant,which could prove that Baihe Gujin Tang was effective against ground-glass opacity in lung and kidney yin deficiency.Conclusion:Baihe Gujin Tang is effective in the treatment of small lung nodules with lung and kidney yin deficiency,which can shrink,lighten,or even disappear the nodules.
