| OBJECTIVE: The aim of this paper was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome by applying the combination of Gengnian Tang and ear acupressing beans to 60 patients with kidney deficiency and liver depression evidence of perimenopausal syndrome,so as to propose new ideas and methods for the treatment of this disease.Materials and methods: In this study,60 patients with perimenopausal syndrome due to kidney deficiency and liver depression who met the inclusion criteria were selected from July 2021 to October 2022,and all patients were randomly grouped according to the lottery method, with the control group(n=30)applying Gengnian Tang and the observation group(n=30)using Gengnian Tang combined with auricular acupoint pressure beans, both treated for 2 months. The scores of Modified Kupperman Scale,Chinese Medicine Evidence Score Scale,Depression Self-Rating Scale and Perimenopausal Survival Quality Scale were recorded before and after the treatment in both groups, and the efficacy of both groups was finally analyzed and evaluated by statistical software.Results:1.General: There was no significant difference between the control group and the observation group in terms of age, disease duration, and the scores of the Chinese Medicine Symptom Score Scale, the Modified Kupperman Scale, the Depression Self-Rating Scale and the Perimenopausal Quality of Life Scale before treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the baseline data of the two groups were comparable.2.Comparing the Kupperman scale scores,TCM symptom scores,SDS scores, and MENQOL scores before and after treatment between the two groups, the results showed that the scores of the sexual life dimension of the perimenopausal quality of life scale in the control group were not significantly lower than before after treatment, and the difference within the group was not statistically significant(P=0.08>0.05),except for the rest of the scores in the group, which were all lower than before. The Kupperman scale score,TCM evidence score,SDS score and MENQOL score in the observation group decreased significantly after treatment compared with the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Comprehensive clinical efficacy: After treatment, the total effective rate of the control group was 73.3%,and the total effective rate of the observation group was 90%,and the difference between the groups(P < 0.05)was statistically significant.4.Safety analysis: Both control and observation groups did not have any adverse reactions as well as side effects due to taking the drug and pressing beans.Conclusion:1.The combination of tutor-prepared menopause soup with auricular acupressing beans and the application of menopause soup alone for the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome(kidney deficiency and liver depression evidence)can both reduce the modified Kupperman scale,Chinese medicine evidence score scale,SDS and MENQOL scores of patients with perimenopausal syndrome and improve the symptoms of perimenopausal syndrome.2.Compared with the application of the Chang Nian Tang alone, the combined auricular acupoint pressure dou was more effective for MPS with kidney deficiency and liver depression evidence. Its reasonable selection of acupoints, significant efficacy, safety and convenience highlight the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine soup combined with traditional characteristic therapy for MPS,and it is easy to promote and has high clinical application value. |
