The concept of music intelligence was first proposed by Gardner,a famous American psychologist,as one of the eight multiple intelligences.music intelligence is the ability of individuals to acutely perceive,distinguish,change and express musical elements such as tone,rhythm and melody.Music intelligence is the premise and foundation for the further development of individual other abilities and qualities.Good music intelligence is closely related to children’s cognitive abilities such as mathematical logic ability and reading ability,and also has a certain relationship with individual emotional understanding ability,theory of mind and other social development ability.Music education is an important part of early childhood education.Therefore,parents and teachers pay more and more attention to the development of music intelligence.Through sorting out the previous measurement tools of music intelligence,it is found that there are few systematic researches on the field of children’s music intelligence in China,which has not formed a complete system and the time is relatively early,and cannot truly reflect the intelligence development of contemporary children.However,due to the different cultural background,it is difficult to accurately measure the development level of Chinese children’s music intelligence.This study combines the theoretical research and practical application of domestic and foreign scholars on music intelligence,aiming to develop a set of local assessment tools suitable for the development of music intelligence of 3-6 years old children.Research for the development of early childhood music intelligence assessment tools,combining previous research,expert advice,and young children’s cognitive development characteristics,selection of tone,rhythm and intonation of the three important factors on a dimension as early childhood music intelligence test and test will be divided into early childhood music intelligence tests tones,rhythm and intonation test test test of three points.The difficulty,differentiation analysis and exploratory factor analysis of the predictive version of the assessment tool are carried out.After reserving appropriate topics,the verification factor analysis,reliability test and validity test are carried out in turn,and the formal version of the children’s music intelligence assessment tool is finally formed.The second study aims to explore the development level and characteristics of children’s musical intelligence,further analyze the gender and grade differences of children’s musical intelligence,and provide reference for children’s music education and guidance.The results show that :(1)the instrument can be divided into three tests: pitch test,rhythm test and intonation test.The results of item analysis and reliability and validity test show that the test questions all meet the standards of psychometrics.(2)There is a significant grade difference in children’s musical intelligence between 3 and 6 years old,and musical intelligence gradually improves with age.There is a significant gender difference in children’s musical intelligence in the tone test,and girls’ performance is better than boys’,but there is no significant gender difference in the other two tests.The instrument developed in this study can accurately and scientifically measure children’s music intelligence level.By using music intelligence assessment tools,teachers and parents can understand the development level of children’s music intelligence,and adopt effective teaching methods to carry out music education for children,so as to improve children’s music intelligence level.
