A New Path Against The Logic Of Capital

Hardt and Negri,the famous Western Marxists,based on the theory of biopolitics,put forward a new interpretation of the current capitalist exploitation by analyzing the changes of labor and production methods in different stages.In order to resist the exploitation of capital logic,they try to explore new ways to resist capital.Hardt and Negri have always claimed to be staunch Marxists.Based on Marx’s works and main ideas,they analyze the current relationship between capital exploitation and labor from the perspective of production mode.By comparing with the capital exploitation in Marx’s time,they found that the current labor production tends to be more immaterial.However,Hardt and Negri believe that the labor described by Marx has become immaterial labor,and the nature of labor has changed.In fact,this is their misunderstanding.In Marx,both material labor and immaterial labor belong to the category of labor.Nonetheless,immaterial labor did lead to some changes in the way capital was exploited.Labor is more inherent in human life and social life,and the exploitation of labor by capital becomes more secretive.In this regard,Hardt and Negri put forward the opposition of the masses as new revolutionary subjects against capital,and provided a new way of thinking against the logic of capital.However,the multitude they propose is an aggregate of scattered revolutionary subjects.It is difficult for such a collective to autonomously form a unified will to resist against capital.And because they relied too much on the logic of subject resistance,they failed to notice that the dialectical relationship between labor and capital in Marx’s writings has not changed.Therefore,there are some problems with their analysis.Nonetheless,the proposal of this subject’s independent resistance is different from some conservative ideas of the western left wing,providing positive theoretical ideas for western Marxism,and exerting a significant influence on the research of Marxism at home and abroad.In general,they creatively used the change of production mode as a breakthrough to put forward the resistance of the new revolutionary subject to the logic of capital.This theory needs to be improved,but this kind of thinking cannot be ignored.
