The Specific Role Of Props In The Creation Of Original Dance Drama "Remembrance Of The White Snake”

Dance drama is a type of stage performance art in which dance is used as the primary means of expression and a dramatic plot is developed.Props can often convey content that is difficult to explain solely through body movements in the process of dance theater choreography.This paper uses the original small dance drama "Remembrance of the White Snake" as the basis for the thesis research.It can more clearly and fully encourage the growth of dance dramas,enrich the characters,express the connotation of works,and increase stage expression with the use of props in the design and editing of tiny dance plays.The use process and meaning of the props are considered,and the role of the props in the dance drama is specifically analyzed from the aspects of character shaping,plot narrative,and meaning expression.Through the practical creation process of the dance drama "Remembrance of the White Snake," the use process and meaning of the props are specifically considered.The core body of research in this article concerns the role of props in dance dramas,and it is broken down into three chapters.The first chapter examines the main content and dance art qualities of the dance drama "Remembrance of the White Snake," as well as the basis for prop selection based on the dance drama’s background.The second chapter examines the ontology of dance art.Starting with examining basic features such as symbolism and decorating of props,summarizing the props utilized and their usage in dance dramas using the practicality and freehand classifications.The third part is the most important portion of this essay.It combines the practical method of the job and especially explains the importance of props from the perspectives of stage expression,space division,and atmosphere creation.The importance of props in dance drama is derived from the production and editing practice of the personal original short dance drama "Remembrance of the White Snake." According to the theoretical analysis of the practical results,it can deepen the diversified application of props in dance dramas,broaden the thinking of dance drama choreography,enrich the connotation of works,enhance the regularity and theory of the use of props in dance drama choreography.
