The Research On "Xunzi·Li Lun" And Xunzi’s Thought On Rites

"Ritual" is a unique concept in Chinese culture.Xun Zi was at the end of the Warring States period and advocated the "Law of Long Li And Heavy Law".He believes that Confucianism leads the correct direction of the governance of the world,on the one hand,it inherits and develops Confucius’s Confucian etiquette in many aspects such as benevolence,etiquette,heaven and man,and moral cultivation,on the other hand,it absorbs the ideas of other schools,and is an important builder and contributor to the "ritual" culture.The Treatise on Etiquette records Xunzi’s exposition of the origin,essence,and value of rituals,and constructs Xunzi’s ritual logic.In Xunzi’s ideal society,"etiquette" has always been a main line of national governance,social stability and personal development.Etiquette runs through Xunzi’s view of the state,epistemology,and human nature,and together constitutes a large and complex system of thought.The new connotation given by Xunzi to liturgy is an important node in the development of liturgy.While reflecting on the social turmoil in the Warring States,he expounded the value of the rites and enhanced the status of the rites,so that the rites that originated from primitive religious worship were gradually secularized and practicalized.Xunzi Lixue pays attention to the realization of people’s own value,pays attention to the actual development of society,and believes that the emergence of"etiquette" is not to stand still but to keep pace with the times,which has important enlightenment for us to inherit and carry forward the culture of etiquette.
