Research On Metaverse And Its Philosophical Connotation And Social Influence

The concept of "Metaverse" first appeared in American writer Neil Stephenson’s 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash.From the perspective of translation,the Chinese translation of "Yuan Yu Zhou" does not quite fit its English connotation.The reason why it is translated into "Yuan Yu Zhou" is that it is more likely to become a hot topic,more sci-fi,and easier to be accepted by common people.Metaverse integrates a variety of science and technology,mainly including virtual reality technology,augmented reality technology,mixed reality technology,human-computer interaction technology,artificial intelligence technology,digital twin technology,3D modeling and view rendering technology,blockchain technology.The main features of Metaverse are: full-body immersion experience,convenient operation of the university,digitally mapped universe,freely edited empowerment,safe and reliable transactions,etc.From the definition and connotation of science and technology and the characteristics of technology integration of the Metaverse,It is a combination of many kinds of technology,and it’s also a kind of science and technology in essence.From the perspective of philosophical ontology,the Metaverse is an artificial system and belongs to the category of social consciousness.The subject of Metaverse is the real man,and its object has two forms: one is the digital simulation with the corresponding real object,the other is the "special object" without the corresponding real object;The former belong to the digital Twins in the Metaverse,while the latter are free creatures in the Metaverse.Compared with the real cognition,the cognition in Metaverse has the characteristics of transcendence of cognition form,wider scope of cognition object and more rational cognition mode.The practical mechanism of Metaverse and the practical mechanism of reality also have new changes,more prominent embodiment of its "virtual and real fusion" characteristics,showing a revolutionary change.Compared with the materialistic universe,the Metaverse shows more idealist tendencies.As a kind of science and technology,Metaverse has "double-edged sword" effect.In terms of its positive influence,Metaverse can promote the transformation of production mode and enter the new mode of intelligent production.Promoting lifestyle changes to make people’s lives more convenient,efficient and intelligent;Promote the reform of thinking mode,so as to further strengthen innovative thinking,open thinking,abstract thinking;Promote social structure reform,so that the economy and politics of the society pay more attention to the "human" factor.On the negative side,Metaverse damages human’s physical quality and subject spirit,and even produces subject alienation.It brings great challenges to social ethics and is easy to bring adverse factors such as privacy disclosure,virtual crime and deconstruction of social relations.The harm to the diversity of civilization is mainly manifested in the ideological struggle of media attributes and the disastrous consequences to mankind when it is applied in the military field.
