Narrative Research And Practice Of Rural Female Documentary

In the 1990 s,the female documentary began to appear.Female directors have carried cameras,targeting women in life.Female documentary has been widely concerned by independent documentary.These women’s documentary shows women’s stories under different living conditions.The distinctive female consciousness is thought-provoking,which makes people see different angles of life and arouses social attention and understanding of women.Rural women account for nearly a quarter of the national population,is a huge group.But in life,rural women often seem to be invisible.In the context of development,the individual fate and individual consciousness of rural women should be paid more attention.Focusing on the individual fate and inner world of rural women is the starting point of rural women documentary,and recording the real life and real appearance of rural women is the foothold of rural women documentary.Graduation work ’caterpillar· pupa· butterfly ’tells the life story of five Lisu ethnic group women in the natural village under Biluo Snow Mountain.In the context of the easy relocation of poverty eradication,a record of their over-living period between the old villages and the new countryside was launched.The narrative strategy does not completely adopt the chronological narrative,but is divided by the type of characters.The film is divided into three chapters :“caterpillar”,“pupa”and“butterfly”,forming a polyphonic structure.The film interprets the relationship between rural women and environment by recording women in rural environment,showing the living conditions and ideological desires of women in China ’s border mountainous areas during the period of social transformation and the life problems faced by local women.Based on the creative practice of graduation work ’caterpillar · pupa · butterfly ’,this paper explores the female narrative techniques and artistic characteristics of rural female documentary.The whole article is divided into five parts : Introduction for topics,research purposes and research methods outlined;the first chapter of rural women documentary overview combing and narrative characteristics analysis;the second chapter compares with similar works,summarizes the theme types of rural female documentary,and explains the rich female theme expression of ’ caterpillar · pupa · butterfly ’;in the third chapter,combined with practice,the narrative techniques of the graduation work ’ caterpillar,pupa and butterfly are analyzed in detail.Based on the characteristics of rural subjects,the fourth chapter puts forward innovative summary and thinking of female narrative techniques of rural female documentary.Through research and practice,it is expected to provide creative reference and reference ideas for rural female documentary.
