In the creation of female documentaries,the creation of female characters can better express the themes of documentaries.With the rapid development of the media,with the continuous awakening of female consciousness,people’s attention to female groups has gradually increased.Documentaries created for the subject have gradually entered the public.In the torrent of the times,emerging media and communication methods have also changed people’s thinking.People have begun to pay attention to their own state.Individualized,civilian,and stylized content display has gradually become a new focus of documentaries.Documentaries have also Gradually demonstrated its humanistic care.The documentary "Then keep on living" takes documentary shots of two women living and working in Beijing,and selects representative events among them for processing and creation,showing the existing circumstances of women in big cities.Meanwhile,under the circumstances,how does them establish their own life in an unfamiliar environment,how to balance the relationship between work and life,explore their own life philosophy,and find their future life direction and goals.This article will analyze how female-themed documentaries portray and present female images from the perspectives of the subject,narrative,and audio-visual of the documentary.First,on the basis of drawing up the shooting theme,introduce the background and research significance of the selected topic,analyze the existing literature,sort out the current domestic and foreign research related to female documentaries and female images,propose research goals,and introduce the selected topics and research methods.At the same time,by studying the development status of female documentaries,it analyzes the changes and emphases of female documentaries’ theme evolution,female image shaping and meaning expression,and summarizes the expression characteristics of female documentaries.After that,taking the existing female documentaries available for analysis as specific cases,a more detailed analysis of how female-themed documentaries present female images from three aspects: narrative text,narrative perspective,and narrative form."Then keep on living" is a case study on how to use narrative to express the subject and present female images in female documentaries.In the creation of new female-themed documentaries,the image of women will also change.The article will combine real life and the current environment to make an in-depth interpretation of the changes in the female image,and based on social reality to express their material life and spiritual life.Finally,combined with the documentary "Then keep on living" created by my graduation,I will narrate the gains and reflections in the process of filming the documentary,and summarize and reflect on the difficulties encountered in actual creation and the shortcomings.
