The Exploration And Practice Of The Series Creation Of "The Language Of Lotus"

The Lotus,as a common plant in all seasons,has a wide geographical distribution and is also closely related to other disciplines.The lotus,especially in literature,has been praised for its spirit of "glowing beneath the dirt".First,the paper analyzes the long cultural connotation of the lotus from a historical perspective,and then explains the spiritual essence and cultural characteristics of the lotus reflected in different cultural contexts.In this series of compositions with lotus as the subject matter,the author examines and records lotus in all seasons of the year with time as the main line.Subsequently,the author’s personal perception of the social life is incorporated into the picture,and then the picture with sincere emotion is painted.The focus of the whole paper is on the analysis and summary of the author’s creation of the series.Separately,the analysis is made from the aspects of material arrangement and selection,conception,and material practice,focusing on the embodiment of lotus’ vitality and the conveyance of its spirit.Drawing on the impressionists’ handling and use of light,color and brushstrokes,the author combines the spirit and techniques conveyed in the works of Chinese and Western painters,and then combines them with the Chinese painting technique of writing.While drawing on theoretical knowledge and techniques from both China and the West,the author makes full use of modern tools and explores the characteristics of the material itself,with the intention of reflecting the external posture and inner spirit of the lotus through the picture.A series of creations based on the lotus is a substantial exploration of the lotus culture,which expresses the author’s personal love for the lotus and also strengthens the foundation for the author’s future painting path.
