| Only by learning to precipitate oneself in loneliness can a person be filled with inner self and truly grow.Therefore,the emotional state of loneliness is almost inescapable for every independent living individual.Only by accepting loneliness and reconciling with loneliness can we realize the essence of life.In the field of fine art,the American artist Edward Hopper is well known in the research community for expressing the emotion of loneliness.His works revolve around American modern life,presenting a lonely picture atmosphere through geometrical picture segmentation and cool tones and other painting languages.This article takes Hopper’s works as the research object to carry out research.By learning the painter’s unique painting language and various painting forms.The author combined with his own feeling and practice in oil painting creation,the creation process of "Mang" series of oil paintings was deeply thought and discussed in detail.This article consists of three parts.The first part summarizes Hopper’s painting style and studies the formal language and connotation of Hopper’s painting.And the analysis of his artistic language such as composition,light and shadow,and color.Secondly,it discusses the author’s application and innovation of loneliness in Hopper’s paintings in the creation of the "Mang" series.The last part is the reflection and perception of the "Mang" series of works,And the influence and inspiration of Hooper’s paintings on the author’s oil painting creation. |
