Taking Ren Bonian’s Mogu flower and bird painting as the main research object,this paper discusses the formation of the color language of Ren Bonian’s Mogu flower and bird painting and the "new" of its color setting technique of "using the ancients to create the world for our method".Ren Bonian is a key figure connecting the past and the future among Shanghai style painters,with a relatively unique artistic style.Ren Bonian’s painting style is influenced by many factors.He can "learn from the ancient and change,take the foreign and change",and inherit the color setting characteristics of traditional flower and bird painting.After "asking the ancient and modern way,false path and sage",he can "own me" and form a unique color language.The author tries to clarify the characteristics of Ren Bonian’s use of powder,water and color by comparing the color of flower and bird paintings with Yun Shouping,Ju Lian,Sun long and Zhao Zhiqian;By analyzing Ren Bonian’s absorption and reference of Western painting,this paper analyzes its technical performance of integrating China and the West.Finally,the author will combine his own creation to elaborate the absorption and reference of Ren Bonian’s pen and ink techniques.
