| As one of the pioneers of Chinese rock-color painting,Wang Xiongfei is an important organizer,participant and witness in the development of Chinese rock-color painting.His artistic growth path and the development of rock-color painting interweave,promote and complement each other,which is also the carrier of this period of history.Nevertheless,he is now in his 60 s,and the research on the development of rock-color painting from the perspective of the artist’s personal development trajectory has not been involved.Through the case study of rock-color painting artist Wang Xiongfei,this paper reviewed the evolution of rock-color painting in the history of Chinese art.It can be of reference and enlightenment significance for the exploration of the individual art path of contemporary young artists and for the contemporary exploration of the fusion and transformation of traditional culture in art.This paper investigated the details of evolution and history neglected in the development of rock-color painting,retained some precious materials for the research of the development vein of rock-color painting in the future,broadening the research horizon of rock-color painting artists and rock-color painting documents to a certain extent.The research was based on the collection and sorting of the artist Wang Xiongfei’s precious first-hand oral data about the development history of rock-color painting and excavated its historical material.I have studied Wang Xiongfei’s artistic process,artistic style,material research and teaching philosophy over the past thirty years by combining images and documents,and investigated the important role of individual artists in the development of rock-color painting.This paper sorted out a development line of rockcolor painting from an ordinary art form to an art genre,to an art discipline and finally to the research field. |
