A Model Of The Combination Of Chinese And Western Music

Chen Qigang is one of the famous contemporary composers.Most of his works are related to Chinese traditional music culture.The orchestral Concerto "Extase" was written by composer Chen Qigang in memory of Mo Wuping from May to August 1995.It uses the melody and tone of the Northern Shanxi folk song "Sanshilipu" as the theme material.It is a modern work combining Chinese traditional music and western modern creative techniques.This work has four versions.Extase II studied in this paper is the version made by oboe and Orchestra.Through the study of the application of national elements,creative techniques and musical expression,this paper explores the characteristics of the integration of Chinese and western music.The main body consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of the composer and his works,including the relevant introduction of Mr.Chen Qigang and the creation background,work overview and creation characteristics of this song;The second chapter is the embodiment of folk song elements in the works,mainly from the creative background and music structure of folk songs,the application of folk song materials,structure and mode;The third chapter is the technical analysis and music performance,mainly from four aspects: pitch material,the use of counterpoint and polyphony,orchestration and music expression;The fourth chapter analyzes the embodiment of the integration of "Oriental" aesthetic consciousness and "Western" modern techniques in the works,mainly from three aspects: the embodiment of Chinese traditional national music,the integration of Chinese music thinking and western modern creative techniques,and the humanistic connotation contained in the works.Through the analysis and research of Mr.Chen Qigang’s Oboe Concerto "Extase II",this paper grasps the integration characteristics and humanistic connotation of Chinese and western music,which has a great enlightenment for the emotional expression of such works in performance.
