The rapid development of the Internet has brought people a new way of information exchange,which not only profoundly affects people’s communication and life style,but also affects the development of language.People exchange information and share interaction through the Internet platform,followed by a large number of network buzzwords.These network buzzwords have been integrated into People’s Daily life and used by people.The generation,evolution,use and dissemination of network buzzwords reflect the changes behind cultural life and social development.As the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam gradually increase,the number of Vietnamese learning Chinese is also increasing.Although China and Vietnam share many similarities in traditional culture,there are significant differences in a series of social,economic and cultural development between the two countries,which are often reflected in language differences.Therefore,such differences affect Vietnamese Chinese learners’ cognition and communication of Chinese.However,as a product of The Times,network buzzwords change rapidly and are not stable in word formation,grammar,meaning and other aspects,which brings some troubles to Chinese learners.Therefore,it is necessary to deeply analyze the communication effect and influencing factors of current network buzzwords in Vietnamese Chinese learners,so as to facilitate Vietnamese Chinese learners to learn Chinese and improve their Chinese cognitive level.In addition,the current network catchwords are also constantly concerned by the academic circle.However,the existing research has some shortcomings in research methods,perspectives and objects.Especially in terms of research methods,existing studies mostly focus on qualitative research,with obvious limitations in research conclusions,and few studies are carried out through empirical research.Aiming at the limitations of existing research,this study is in reference on the basis of many scholars research results,the introduction of the concept of communication effect theory,through the way of questionnaire to understand Vietnamese Chinese learners of network buzzwords three dimensions(cognitive,attitude and behavior),communication effect and the influence factors of three level communication effect and so on.The specific conclusions are as follows:(1)Vietnamese Chinese learners do not have a high level of cognition of popular network buzzwords,and are most familiar with homophonic network buzzwords.However,Vietnamese Chinese learners have a higher emotional attitude towards network buzzwords,which to some extent reflects that Vietnamese Chinese learners have gradually shifted from satisfaction with network buzzwords as entertainment tools to recognition of their values.(2)There are two reasons for Vietnamese students’ cognition of Chinese network buzzwords:external factors and internal characteristics.The external reasons are mainly Vietnamese students’ time of learning Chinese,access to network channels and communication frequency with Chinese people.The internal reason is that the connotation of Chinese network buzzwords is complicated for Vietnamese students,and no one guides them.Although most students understand the meaning of Chinese network buzzwords,they cannot use them.
