Novel Performance Of Ancient Music-Chinese Traditional Music Played With Western Musical Instrument-Research On The Performance Of Anlun Huang’s Piano Suite Dream Of Dunhuang

The piano suite Dream of Dunhuang is the representative piano work of Mr.Anlun Huang who is a famous composer and conductor in contemporary China.It is adapted from the three segments of his ballet and dance drama with the same name.The work is originated from the culture of Dunhuang with the delicate combination of multi-modal system and western composing skills for which it has extremely high value of instrumental performance and aesthetics.This article explores the method of piano performance from the west for the demonstration of the unique charm of Chinese nation through the exposure of the artistic characteristics of ethnicity on the aspects of material source,mode,timbre,and rhythm in the piano suite Dream of Dunhuang.This article will elaborate from the following four aspects:I.Brief introduction of the composer Anlun Huang for the research on the source of the piano suite Dream of Dunhuang;II.Research on the exotic music elements of the piano suite Dream of Dunhuang through multiple modes,timbre simulation of musical instrument,music rhythm of song and dance.III.Exploration into the touching method,the performance for the rhythm in song and dance,the integration of limbs and breath,the reflection of music image and artistic conception;IV.Discovery for the function of this work to the development of piano music in China and its own artistic value.
