Research On Ultra-flat Design From The Perspective Of Subculture

With the change of social consumption environment,digitalization of information is the future development trend of the art and design industry,and the dependence of the pop culture system in the digital era on mass media deepens and shows great consumability.At the same time,niche circles,represented by youth subcultures,are rapidly growing and they are making an impact on modern lifestyles with social media as their centerpiece.The cultural and creative industries have also gradually developed a tendency to favor digital aesthetics in their evolution.This trend requires visual images to present themselves with maximum visual impact and strong individual representations.The ultra-flat style expresses concern and consideration for current social phenomena and real-life issues in the field of art and design in a more relaxed and fun way than in the past and is forward-looking and pioneering.The ultra-flat concept fits well with the quality of "reading pictures" in the era of streaming media,and its flatness,pleasure and humanistic care have shown great plasticity in the field of visual design.Therefore,applying the design language of ultra-flat style in design practice is also an effective way to explore future design thinking.This article starts from the concept of subcultural form the ultra-flat style,analyzes the visual expression of ultra-flat style,explores the subcultural qualities in the language of ultra-flat design,analyzes the advantages of ultra-flat style in the field of popular culture through design cases,and summarizes its application value in the contemporary context.Finally,through the theoretical research mentioned above,the graduation design "Textual Poachers" was developed to extract the representative elements and symbols of the subculture fans circle in the main visual,and design illustration posters and peripheral derivatives.In summary,it is hoped that the ultra-flat design of subcultural visual elements in this project,will explore how niche communities can present their individual expressions in the mainstream context,convey the belief of mutual respect and understanding in different circles,and break the prejudice of people towards differences with a more open and tolerant attitude.
