Abstract/Summary:
As a philosophical topic of great contemporary significance,"the Aesthetics of Disappearance" is closely related to modern art and photoelectric media.Virilio points out that it is this new aesthetic form that changes the perceptual experience when in contact with the world. The "disappearance" in the "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" is not the disappearance of "beauty",but the "presentation" and "disappearance" of all things in the perception field caused by the acceleration of post-modern social technology. In the acceleration of technology, the form of things no longer depends on a stable material basis,so it experiences the process from "real" to "virtual".The excavation and discussion of this theory provides practical inspiration and theoretical significance for the contemporary aesthetic problems. The full text is divided into six parts:In the thesis, the research background and significance of the paper are expounded, and then, especially the research situation of "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" is summarized, the research ideas and methods of the paper are discussed. The first chapter focuses on the background and theoretical source of Virilio’s "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" thought.Firstly, the background of "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" is analyzed, mainly from the three dimensions of speed, body perception and technology.Acceleration is the origin and foundation of Virilio’s ideas;his exploration of the key issue of body perception is deeply influenced by the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty.In addition, the internal connection of technology and acceleration is explored through the historical backtracking of the three technologies. The second chapter mainly excavates the internal connection of "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" and body perception. This chapter first grasps the "loss" phenomenon as a prominent representation of "the Aesthetics of Extinction ",discusses the shaping of body perception mode, including space-temporal perception and presentation mode, and discusses the alienation caused by technological acceleration in contemporary society. The third chapter mainly focuses on the close connection between "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" and artistic presentation.Virilio’s thinking on art comes from the two dimensions of war and technological innovation,so this chapter analyzes from the two perspectives of art under the deconstruction of art and technological innovation.Firstly, the specific influence of war on contemporary art mentioned in the idea of "the Aesthetics of Disappearance";secondly, the connection between technological innovation and contemporary art is mainly manifested as the disappearance of art reproduction form and the change of presentation mode under technological influence, pointing out the close connection of art production and technological innovation and its profound influence on human survival experience. The fourth chapter reflects on the thought of "the Aesthetics of Disappearance",and focuses on the influence of Virilio’s "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" thought on the later generations with the perspective of inheritance and development. In response to the "technological control" shown in postmodern society,Virilio advocates "deceleration",or voluntary "deceleration" to fight violence from speed. This chapter takes Virilio’s "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" thought as the starting point, reflects on contemporary cultural and social phenomena, reflects on the capital logic behind "acceleration" and the practical dimension of "poetically dwelling",so as to open up a new living space for the survival of individual aestheticization. The conclusion section summarizes the main chapters of this article. On this basis,Virilio’s "the Aesthetics of Disappearance" thought is described and evaluated comprehensively, and it points out the significance and enlightenment of its thoughts in contemporary times.
